😂 How long will this be ignored? This is not high demand, it's completely administrative failure. Every day, Thousands forced to hang out of trains.... No increase in frequency where it’s actually needed.... No strict action on ticketless travel.. No serious crowd management... Railways talks about modernisation, bullet trains, world class stations Vande Bharat etc but can’t even manage basic passenger load on the most crowded routes? If 50% are travelling without tickets, who is responsible? Passengers? Or the system that fails to enforce it's own rules? Until rules are enforced with zero tolerance and real penalties, overcrowding and indiscipline will continue. This is enforcement failure as it is Indian public mindset issue. One more thing, this is not just only Patna scene, but across major routes & state capitals every single morning and night same drama. Honestly....Stop normalising this chaos. This is not inconvenience, this is a safety risk & complete failure of planning. I hope @AshwiniVaishnaw @narendramodi @IR_CRB @RailMinIndia would have a better plan for it.... #IndianRailways

Look at this overcrowded train near Patna. It was the same in 2014, and it's still the same in 2026. What exactly has changed in the last 12 years?

@trainwalebhaiya If people are travelling without tickets, thats not just a public issue, it’s also a governance & enforcement failure... This is not about blaming, it’s about fixing a system that millions depend on daily.

I remember talking to one railway official from same area, he mentioned one day when the Railways conducted a strict ticket-checking drive on this route, the crowd was no where to be seen :) This is the Patna-Gaya route. Two trains see massive crowds: one in the morning towards Patna and another in the evening towards Gaya, mostly for short distances to/from Patna. The majority of people here travel without tickets. You want services, but can’t pay even ₹10 for a ticket, and then blame the Railways for not running enough trains and for overcrowding.

Yes, I agree brother. I always stated the same. DFC would have done 10 year back in these region of #Jharkhand #Odisha #Chattisgarh, but unfortunately due to poor planning of management, DFC project executed for non higher Route-Occupancy routes, Well we all knows the policial motive behind that, but unfortunately the same apex committee forgotten these important regions which are contributing highest revenue to #IndianRailways i.e almost by 55% Freight earnings accounted from Coal out all all freight earnings.

Daily train delays are not just random, they reflect real operational challenges too, as every minute of delay in Railways is accountable. I can share a few statistics from 19/03/26 from SER Zone. The data shows various issues such as: • Engineering blocks (section engineering work, track upgradation) • Signal & point failures • Loco troubles • Alarm chain pulling (ACP) • Unusual incidents on track Many delays come from essential maintenance work necessary for safety, but temporarily disruptive. At the same time, SER has a higher freight density corridor. Freight trains (coal, steel, etc.) are crucial for the economy and often get priority, especially on busy routes. More trains = more congestion/bunching. So it’s not just inefficiency; it’s pressure on a heavily used existing network, with 100s of surface crossings. Poor planning by Rail management as well as the Ministry has also led to these problems. Still, 100s of improvements are possible, like: 1. Better passenger & freight coordination; DFC and quadrupling of tracks in HDN/HUN sections should have happened 10 years earlier, especially in SER, ECOR, SECR, SCR, ECR regions. 2. Removal of all major surface crossings by constructing ROR flyovers. 3. Capacity expansion (yards, infrastructure, manpower). 4. Strict control on ACP misuse. 5. Smarter block planning. 6. Faster fault response and many more... the list won’t end. A balanced view matters. Challenges exist, but so does continuous effort to improve. I hope Railways may reach new heights as early as possible with a #corruption-free environment, more manpower (I have 100s of examples where railway dept are working at 50% manpower) and the use of more advanced technology. Note: These Data were official records and were only for Reference purpose.... #IndianRailways

Can any Rail Expert / RailFan / Official explain this? 👇🏻 🚨 CHAKRADHARPUR–TATANAGAR (62 km) section mystery: ⚡ 20872 Vande Bharat → 1 hour 🐢 12833 Superfast → 5.5 HOURS Both run NON-STOP between Chakradharpur & Tatanagar. No scheduled halts. So what exactly is happening here? Signal issues? Freight priority? Or just “normal” operations? 🤔 This isn’t a small delay — it’s a system failure happening here for 3 years due to excessive Freight priority. 250 Maalgaadi, 24 Passenger trains everyday! @RailMinIndia @IRFactCheck @PMOIndia @mpbidyutmahato @JobaMajhi @jualoram @KunalSarangi @roysaryu @sahupurnima0818 @dasraghubar @MundaArjun @drajoykumar #LateDivisionCKP #IndianRailways

@TechAnsuman Most of these issues resulting out of poor maintenance, except obviously the ACP ones. Alarm chains are a waste of time for everyone, they should be removed completely from all IR coaches.

@TechAnsuman SER Zone caters to coal which powers 60% of Indias electricity need. So preference is given to freight. If a train delays by 5 hrs 2000 pax are impacted. If a freight delays by 5 hrs, an entire city would be out of power for 5 hrs. Both are bad,Its like choosing best of the worst.
