The conversations shaping the future of business aren't happening in silos. They're happening where founders meet policymakers. Where investors challenge operators. Where creatives exchange ideas with engineers. Where AI isn't just about technology, but about healthcare, agriculture, finance, education, governance, and every industry it has the power to transform. That's what makes Moonshot different. Technology isn't an industry on its own—it's the intersection of them all. And that's why Moonshot brings together the people building across sectors for the conversations that matter most. The ideas shared here don't just predict the future; they help build it. If you're a founder, business leader, investor, creator, or simply curious about what's next for Africa, this is where you need to be. Early bird tickets are now 20% off for a limited time. Secure yours today and join the conversations shaping tomorrow. #Moonshot2026 #MoonshotbyTechCabal #CourageandConviction

Quick Fire 🔥 with Opeyemi Folorunsho techcabal.com/2026/07/10/qui… Opeyemi Folorunsho is the Vice President of Research and Development (R&D) at Moniepoint, where he focuses on translating deep technical ideas into systems that deliver real-world impact. His background is in distributed systems and infrastructure, and his work sits at the intersection of research and execution: identifying emerging opportunities, rigorously validating them, and building the platforms that bring them to life. His core belief is that great engineering culture and first-principles thinking are what separate real innovation from trend-chasing. Over time, his focus has evolved from building systems to shaping their direction, guiding teams, setting the technical vision, and ensuring that research efforts translate into meaningful outcomes.

56 DAYS OF TERROR. 💔 46 pupils and teachers were finally rescued after a grueling two months in captivity. But the question everyone is asking is: Why does it take so long to find them if they’re using phones? The answer is more than you think. Watch to see how kidnappers are outsmarting the system and what it actually takes to bring our people home. Check the comments for links to the original article

Some interviews don’t start with “Tell me about yourself.” They start with a conversation over coffee. A question after a panel. A “What are you building?” At Moonshot, employers and talent get to size each other up before the CV ever lands.

Klump, a Nigerian buy now, pay later (BNPL) startup, has partnered with Jumia to bring instalment payments to one of Africa’s largest e-commerce marketplaces, expanding its strategy of embedding consumer credit directly into online checkouts. The partnership places Klump inside Jumia’s checkout, allowing shoppers to compare financing offers from multiple banks without leaving the platform. Rather than lending itself, Klump provides the technology that connects borrowers with partner lenders, which assess applicants, fund the loans, and assume the credit risk. Embedding its technology inside the e-commerce giant gives the startup access to high-intent shoppers while reinforcing its strategy of becoming the infrastructure layer for consumer credit rather than a lender itself. techcabal.com/2026/07/11/klu…

I’ll be speaking at this year’s @Zikoko_Mag Naira life event again. My focus will be on why well-paid 9-5 workers aren’t necessarily wealthy. I had a conversation with a friend who revealed that he didn’t realize his financial status until someone professionally managed his finances for him. When he saw his total, he was astounded.

NairaLife conference 2025 was a life transforming experience for me. I couldn't explain the excitement I had in me as I anticipated the D day and when the event was over I was satisfied and super refreshed. Three sessions stood out for me: First was @Babajiide . I love real life stories especially when it touch on intentionality... And I will never forget how Babajide gave a clear, blunt and very realistic explanation of why you have no business with savings or investment when you are struggling to live by life. I felt it hard I felt like he was speaking to me but I am super glad I picked the lesson and now I am in a better place earnings and savings wise . Then @Tunde_OD session felt like I was seeing a movie play out in front of me. For years I have heard and read people shit talk on passion as a path that can never make you wealthy but watching and listening to Tunde knocked off all those wrong ideologies. Passion is never the problem, lack of system and structure is. I have always believed this and hearing Tunde retrieve it solidified it for me And the last session was Mrs Nike Ogunlesi (Ruff n Tumble). As a child I used to wear Ruff n Tumble a lot and it felt soo beautiful watching and listening to the brain behind it live and direct. When she said 'You have to want money" I smiled because who doesn't want money 😂 but the difference became clear when she gave full blown masterclass context to the statement. You can't want money and not be a sales person and you can be a successful sales person and be worried about rejection... The equation became balanced. I left NairaLife pumped up and yes I can't want to be present at NairaLife Conference 2026... This n you @GertrudeUmeh for encouraging me to attend 🥰🥰 #WealthisaTeamSport & #TheNairaLifeConference2026

In one case, Olaniyi said he was forced to dig a shallow grave to bury one of the victims. Throughout the ordeal, one thing stood out: the men holding them captive relied heavily on mobile phones.
