To everyone who still doesn’t understand the difference between normal Auto Mode and advanced computational RAW modes 👀 Master Mode = computational RAW pipeline Expert RAW = computational RAW pipeline Apple ProRAW = computational RAW pipeline All of them use computational photography processing before generating the final output and all of them can work straight out of the box with no manual setup needed. And no… JPEG output does NOT automatically mean “Auto Mode” 😅 Expert RAW can output: • RAW • JPEG • RAW + JPEG together And depending on the lens/device, you can also choose resolutions like: 12MP, 24MP, 50MP, or 200MP. Master Mode can output: • RAW = usually 12MP • RAW Max = max native resolution for the lens • JPEG = usually 12MP • JPEG Max = max native resolution for the lens Both can shoot in Auto or Manual controls. Master Mode can shoot fully Auto. Expert RAW also shoots Auto by default. “Pro” in Master Mode simply refers to the ability to manually control settings exactly like Expert RAW when you switch to Manual controls. So output format and shooting controls (Auto/Manual) are completely separate from the image pipeline itself. Default Auto Mode is mainly a ready-to-share processed pipeline. That’s why it shouldn’t be directly compared to advanced computational RAW modes. Computational RAW keeps the multi-frame computational processing while preserving more editing latitude and RAW-style data.
