The inaugural meeting of the @ficci_india India-North England Industry Council convened in Manchester. This council has been a key outcome of the India-North England Opportunity Summit and constitutes industry leaders across the top sectors of the India-North England trade corridor. Addressing the council as the ex-officio chair, CG highlighted that India and the North’s many synergies make them “natural partners”, and this council is envisioned to be a permanent and outcome-driven institution for mutual benefit of the two economies. It adds to the existing ecosystem by being a beacon for structural cooperation and exchange between industries, strengthening existing linkages and building new ones.
