Atlanta has always been a relationship city. Long before “community” became a startup buzzword, introductions powered Atlanta’s business ecosystem, building shared trust and informal networks that opened doors across industries. From real estate and logistics to fintech and SaaS, deals here rarely begin with cold outreach. They begin with, “You should meet…” 💡 Learn more about how those making introductions in Atlanta’s collaborative innovation ecosystem can be recognized for their contributions and how technology is making this possible 🔗 buff.ly/MGsrKVw Contributing author, Adrian Sasine, is the co-founder and CEO of Nolodex, a platform focused on enabling meaningful business connections and community-driven engagement. 📣 Interested in sharing your story with Tech Square ATL? ☀️ Atlanta's summers are hot, but that heat is not evenly distributed. Temperature can change block by block. PhD candidate Ashley Boone (@gtcomputing, @georgiatech) is working with communities to better understand those differences. Through the @UrbanHeatATL project, residents collect hyperlocal temperature data across neighborhoods, helping reveal how extreme heat intersects with infrastructure, tree canopy, and environmental justice. By putting sensors and data tools directly in the hands of residents and organizing participatory workshops, Boone’s research explores how community-generated data can inform policy and shape healthier cities. In Atlanta, entire industries can sit a few miles apart and barely speak the same language. 📽️ Film, gaming, esports, and nonprofits operate in silos. Founders gain cultural capital but lack visibility outside their circles. The issue is not lack of talent—it's a communications gap. Elise Riley built My Global Presence to bridge that gap. "Entertainment and gaming are not side industries here anymore. They are economic engines, but they need messaging that reflects that." 💡 Read the full TSQ feature: techsquareatl.com/tech-square-ne…

These dress forms are tailored to be your perfect fit and combat fast fashion. 🪡👗 When Margo Lyman, founder of @gtcreatex startup, Your Form, began making her own clothes, she ran into a problem: standardized sewing patterns and dress forms. Most patterns and forms come in a base sizes, but do not reflect real people’s bodies and proportions. That’s where Your Form comes in. The startup uses 3D body scans to create custom-made dress forms and sewing patterns out of recycled materials, making fashion design sustainable and inclusive. 💫 📰 Read the full story here: buff.ly/krP53TJ
