The companies most actively hiring FDEs include Palantir, Anduril, Scale AI, and a number of Series B and C AI startups. Search 'Forward Deployed Engineer' directly on LinkedIn filtered to US or Canada. This role is catering to the high demand of enterprises looking to expand their usage of AI, but not in a way to just throw AI at problems, instead, its targeted to solve real challenges and get measurable results.
If you're targeting the NA tech market and want something differentiated from the traditional cloud infra path, this is where to start.

Still processing an incredible week at AI Engineer World’s Fair.
Got to take the stage, share what I’ve been building and learning with AI, catch up with old friends, and finally meet people I’ve known through the internet for years.
The best part? The expo conversations. So many smart, curious people trying to figure out what’s next.
Grateful for the conversations, feedback, and everyone who came to my talk.
Until next time, SF ✌️

🇨🇦This is your opportunity
When a tech company as big as ElevenLabs opens up in Canada, that means a trust in local talent and skill set!
Max Lemmens@maxlmns
Canada - the response to @ElevenLabs has been amazing 🇨🇦 i’m hiring the founding sales team and looking for people who can turn ambiguity into pipeline, technical concepts into simple stories, and a blank page into momentum the work will be hard, but the opportunity is massive in a market too many underestimate if that excites you + you like to win, apply here: elevenlabs.io/careers?locati…

So many people ask me why did I leave Seattle (USA) and move to Canada?
For cloud and infrastructure roles, Canadian compensation runs roughly 20-25% lower than equivalent US roles (in USD terms).
That gap matters less than people think if you're optimizing for PR, stability, quality of life, start something of your own or join a company you actually want to build at.
It matters more than people admit if your goal is maximum TC. Know which one you're optimizing for before you take the offer; just be honest with yourself about it.
PS: See that view, that's the Canadian PNW 🇨🇦

If you are early in your career, the project section on a cloud resume is where most candidates lose hiring managers.
If you want to know what an engineering manager actually reads for, it's not just the tech stack, it's the decisions you made and whether you can explain them. Here's how to make your cloud portfolio speak to that.
Comment PROJECTS and I'll send you cloud projects which you can start building today!

My very first presentation working as an intern at Ericsson was a bit of a disaster.
I over-prepared everything except the thing that mattered most, which was being ready to defend my thinking in real time in terms of the “Why”.
I thoughts it’s a given why are we solving this problem and why are we choosing said solution. So I focused on the “How”. I assumed, that’s a big mistake.
Within three minutes someone in the room asked a question I hadn't anticipated and I felt the whole thing shift.
So now for any presentation:
(1) I prepare for the problem, more than the solution. Especially with AI how we are solving has become relatively easy, but as we even solving the right problem is important
(2) I’ve a simple workflow (in Claude) which challenges my design doc from various perspectives. It knows my environment and hence those questions are holistic.

Ever struggled to troubleshoot or secure your AWS network? 🤔 AWS has two powerful tools that can make your life a lot easier:
🔍 VPC Reachability Analyzer: Think of it as your network’s GPS! It helps you check if two points (like an app server and a database) can communicate. If not, it tells you exactly where the issue is—like a missing route or blocked security group.
🛡️ VPC Network Access Analyzer: This is your security planner. It scans your network to flag overly permissive access (like open doors 🚪 you didn’t know about) and helps you tighten your security.
These tools work together to ensure your AWS network is both functional and secure. Ready to optimize and protect your infrastructure? Check out the reel, and if you want more details, I’ve broken it all down in my latest Hashnode (techtokwithkriti.hashnode.dev) article! 🔗 Link in bio!
💬 Have you used these tools before? Let me know in the comments!
