I'm taking a break from X until the end of the year (at minimum). I'm doing this for mental health reasons. I believe my obsessive use of X is contributing to my anxiety in a significant way. Using X to constantly follow all the details of world events can be extremely addictive. For me it is at times an obsession. I'm also a very emotional person and often react emotionally to events happening around the world. Recently I've felt there are bad things happening in the world one after another and the feed of X is showing it all to me instantly and in detail. And I just can't stop myself from getting involved. This has lead to me becoming more anxious and feeling disappointed in a lot of people. In some cases I feel not just disappointment but hate. To add, many bitcoiners I've respected in the past have also let me down regarding their opinions about many current events. To the point that I don't want to have anything to do with some of them any longer. I've had it with the negativity and stupidity. I have to take a break and now. Meanwhile I will spend more time with my family and I will study chess harder and I'm of course going to follow the developments in bitcoin. But even though it pains me, I will not be tweeting about bitcoin either during the break. See you next year.

Dagestan has one of the highest death tolls in this war as a region, they are literally just cannon fodder for russian twisted ambitions, yet they choose to NOT protest against the war but to organise what can only be described as a modern pogrom

This is the size of the lynch mob trying to attack Jewish passengers at the airport in Dagestan, Russia. Hundreds of men looking for Israelis who arrived on a flight from Tel Aviv. They are checking everybody's passports to see if they are Israeli.

A Jewish man checked into the Flamingo Hotel in Khasavyurt, Dagestan in Russia today. Quickly a crowd gathered in front of the hotel and started shouting: "Show your face, or we will come into the hotel and pull you out of there!” This is how a lynch mob looks like

The media always frames the conversation as "is Israel's response proportionate to what Hamas did." No, this isn't reactive. This is proactive. Israel has the obligation to ensure that its citizens live in peace. The monsters who behead babies, disembowel pregnant women, and burn entire families in their homes have lived next to us for too long. We will do everything it takes to eliminate them until they cease to exist, and the horrors of October 7 never befall the people of Israel ever again. There is no measure of "proportion" for that.

Muslims within the Republic of Dagestan in Southwestern Russia are currently Storming the International Airport in the Region in order to reportedly “Kill Israelis and Jews” after Rumors began that an Israeli Aircraft was preparing to land at the Airport; this has been going in for the last several hours, with Pro-Hamas Supports having Stormed a number of Hotels and other Public Locations across the Region on the Hunt for Israelis.

Mielestäni on kuitenkin tärkeää ymmärtää, että vaikka siviilit ovat ratkaisevassa asemassa siinä, että nämä hallinnot saivat ja saavat jatkaa hirvittäviä tekojaan, niin he ovat kyllä myös vakavasti harhaanjohdettuja. Jos valtion sääntelemät ja ohjaamat media ja koululaitos toistavat päivästä toiseen viestiä siitä, että näin asiat ovat, niin hyvin harva pystyy tunnistamaan, että ongelma on heidän omasssa hallinnossaan ja että hänen ja muiden siviilien olisi lopetettava sen hallinnon tukeminen, jotta asiat muuttuisivat. Muita tietolähteitä ei ole, niitä ei tunneta tai niihin perehtymiseen ei ole aikaa tai mahdollisuuksia, jolloin virallista totuutta ei välttämättä edes osata epäillä, vaan siihen uskotaan varauksetta, tai vähintääkin koetaan itselle turvallisemmaksi mennä virran mukana. Siviilit ovat tosiaankin syyllisiä, mutta heille ei ole helppoa olla syyttömiä. Kyllä silloin kansaa huijaavia ja hyväksikäyttäviä johtajia on pakko pitää enemmän syyllisinä kuin siviilejä, ja tämä ei ole pelkästään natsi-Saksan, Venäjän tai Hamasin ongelma.

Tämä on tärkeä pointti. Toki asia ei ole yksinkertainen, mutta aivan kuten "tavalliset venäläiset ovat syyttömiä" on täyttä potaskaa, "palestiinalaiset siviilit ovat syyttömiä" on yhtälailla potaskaa. Kansa nosti Hamasin valtaan, ja on kaikkien löytämäni kyselytutkimusten perusteella nauttinut lievän enemmistön kannatusta Gazassa ihan nykyhetkeen saakka. Toki siellä on paljon siviilejä jotka vastustavat Hamasia, sitä ei myöskään pidä unohtaa. Mutta lopettakaa nyt ihan oikeasti paskapuheet siitä, että siellä on vain viattomia ihmisraukkoja.

Gazan terveysministeriön tiedot voisi aina varmistaa Russia Todaysta.

I've always wanted an immediate ceasefire in every round of fighting between Israelis and Palestinians in the last 20 years. However, like almost the entirety of the Israeli left, we think that a ceasefire is not an option. If you are interested, here's why:

Calls for a ceasefire are support for mass murder and genocide. Without a continued war, there is no way Hamas can be defeated. If they are defeated, we've allowed over 1000 Jews to be murdered with no real consequences. Anyone with UK visas at this protest should be deported.

It's sad but necessary for Israel to release more Hamas attack footage. The latest viewing included a young girl hiding under a desk who is found by terrorists and executed. Reporters watching uttered ''make it stop'', while others turned away in tears as the gore became too much

Even at $35k I can report to you that the reality is still the picture on the left. The public at large does not understand nor care. Only after $100k will it again look like the picture on the right.
