Heck, that was one huge source of drama over Smogon in the past that was covered. Their tier system just locks players from anything creative.

@Cupworth @LeoAerts3 @NBinted The problem with Smogon is their philosophy. They claim to be official and have all their clauses is rough when the players go to ACTUAL official events. They also have a toxic mentality. Several made up tiers. Bans that make no sense. And looking down on any creativity.

@Verliswolf This is just a short term solution that I came up with. I don’t want this long term but the actual long term solutions involve more events throughout the year so more people have access and also bigger venue spaces so more people can make it into each one.

Here’s how I think they should handle IC registration next season: 1st: Priority Reg for top players (anyone t128 in the world) 2nd: Priority Reg for ppl with 10-15 play!points 3rd: Priority Reg for ppl w 3-5 play! points 4th (and maybe 5th): Reg for everyone else

@im_a_blisy 6v6 singles are the preferred standard by the community. Pokemon in these types of stadium games do 3v3s for singles. Meaning the game champions will be worthless not to mention all the banned things in smogon will be active again.

What does not sustainable mean in this context? It's a custom game. There's no servers in private battles, it's pvp. What does it matter if two people want to just play 6v6 for 40 minutes vs eachother. Like I don't get it??? This was not a problem from gens 4-7.

@Jamienaut @im_a_blisy Only on showdown are 6v6 battles ever that quick. on cart with animations 6v6 singles can go 40+ minutes on a regular. Used to play OU on cart back in the day, then picked up vgc and never looked back

@im_a_blisy I love all these arguments. I’ve never had a 6v6 last more than 15-20 minutes tops unless Inwas facing a dedicated stall team and most people just forfeit the match anyways, or the stall doesn’t work and you plow their team. Was the last time they played the game when they were 9
