@sydney_ev I remember a radio DJ making one of my favourite quips during fuel rationing. “you can fuel some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fuel all of the people all of the time”. He may not even have completed the quote.

I remember petrol rationing as a child, Even and Odd Rego numbers on alternate days. yet this time, the panic seems far more intense. then again, we didn't have ill informed panic mongers with social media bubbles around to whip up.

Just got back from a 5 hour round trip to Brisbane to hire some mobility aids so my wife can come home from hospital. Thought I might have a little nap. The dog decided to sit next to my head staring at me from 10cm from my face-panting. Face-painting is a whole different thing

@StuddertNatalie I had a storage unit for a while. There was a bloke and his dog living in one behind mine. I did not make any complaint. They were safe and sheltered at night, and went into town for necessities during the day. I met up with him a few times chatted and petted his dog.

People are living out of storage units now!

Last night our house started shaking and there was a lot of noise out on the street including a steam whistle. On racing out, I saw this going down the road. My exposure to Thomas the Tank Engine when my children were young informed me this is a steam traction engine. /2
