@callipeg @sadewoo0 Most commonly, paid apps are handled similarly to windows, out of stores on the app webpage, with custom auth systems, you'd target an LTS distro like ubuntu or centos, but the app will be able to run on any distro, like davinci resolve studio. Highly recommend Steam.

@callipeg @sadewoo0 very widely used store is flathub, which afaik does allow selling apps, it distributes it's own set of target libraries you can use and it's preinstalled and set up on pretty much every distro out there. github.com/flatpak/flatpa…

If you're an animator you're held to a level of professionalism too, posting your work without perms hurts you in the eyes of studios too. That said, downplaying these acts from studios ends up hurting your peers too and keeps the cycle going.

There is no reason why you should post your industry work without permission Just because you don’t like the director, or didn’t get paid, doesn’t give you the right to jeopardize the work opportunities of your peers All of this just because you chose to be selfish and stubborn
