Pro-GenAI people are very strange. And angry, for some reason.
They remind me of the people who so staunchly defended NFTs. Same reliance on personal attacks, same insistence that the people who didn’t use the new tech would be “left behind”.

Honestly, this would have made a great "mission design interview question" at old school Bungie.
"We want to begin an encounter with 'Music A' and then transition to 'Music B' when combat starts. Describe the logic you would implement to achieve this"
It's not a difficult question to answer correctly, but it gives you a view into a candidate's ability and mental workflow processes (which is more important.)
Even if a candidate doesn't arrive at the correct answer, their ability to reason and communicate is just as important.

My B, I should have been more clear on the first issue. If I’m remembering the exercise correctly (and maybe @DevGameDev can confirm or deny) it was that LAX was flipped on its side along the Z axis. So a more-frequently-encountered defect that DIDN’T crash the game compared to a less-frequently-encountered thing that DID crash the game.
I’m realizing that I was interviewed with that question almost 9 years ago and now I’m even more sad

You fix LAX being rotated on its side because it will impact a significantly larger group of players than the other one, even though the impact of the other one is bigger for the players who will encounter it (can’t tell if you were meme’ing or not but wanted to give a reasoned answer 🙏)
BUT the arguments for fixing the crash instead of the rotated LAX are valid, so it was a good exercise in Severity vs Priority and finding out who was going to advocate for what
Ultimately you want a mix of both people on the QA team and we definitely had that. I miss it so much 😭
