I personally don't believe Labour will perform particularly well up there, they didn't win a single position in the last round of elections. Time will tell in the end, all that can be done for now is encourage people to actually engage with our political system which in itself is progress and promote our candidates and policies to the best of our abilities. Putney may be affluent with a younger base and have a strong connection to Labour but I’d wager they have little to zero interest in being used as a stepping stone for Burnham into number 10 and by extension more socialism/communism more taxes to fund Labour’s insane ideological goals and probably closer ties to Europe which continues to go against Brexit and the referendum as welll as not serve the people this government are supposed to represent. Labour have catastrophically failed to improve the security and safety concerns of people with rape and murder weekly if not daily news as well as the continued collapse of the justice system, in short nothing works under this Labour government. Labour were unable to secure a single council seat up there, nothing is a given for Burnham and all of the above are launching points to inspire critical thinking and debate about support for Labour or Reform and what Restore can deliver for Makerfield. Rebecca is listening and identifying local issues with pledges for quick solutions, challenge the dodgy shop fronts, security summit for women’s safety with law enforcement present, clean up operations, all serves the people of Makerfield and all can be brought forward to the House of Commons in service of the people of Makerfield who Rebecca stated she would be an employee of if elected! This is great optics and it would hopefully resonate with people of all corners of Makerfield, even those who are not affected by some of the main line issues plaguing other areas of the country!
