@glenn_tunes it’s funny cause if the wind was blowing the smoke the other direction… none of this american whining would’ve ever happened.
that’s how stupid this whole thing is
@CindyCoops@linwood_barclay Cindy, give your head a shake.
the earth will never be the same as it once was meaning it constantly changes, this is basic geology/geography. something i see americans like you lack. El niño, climate change, dry months, warmer winters…etc. i shouldn’t have to lecture you…
@Telche15@linwood_barclay The U.S. has not, in fact, experienced these gigantic waves of smoke from Canadian wildfires for extended periods of time until about four or so years ago.
@FredHall712781@1414Maple both countries need to do a better job at managing forrest’s.
some of these morons acting as if wild fires have just become a thing for canada.
El Niño, Climate Change, Warmer months/winters= quicker time for snow to dry meaning dryer land which equates to more fires.
America, What is your point. The prevailing winds come from the North West.
So let’s blame Alaska for sending the smoke from Canada to other American states. So it is all your fault. Blame Alaska
@1414Maple I totally don’t get any of the finger-pointing. Canada is having wildfires, USA is having wildfires, I’m sure that in other countries there are wildfires.
Trying to blame anyone for the smoke is useless. I wish our leadership would shut up instead of pushing lies.
@CindyCoops@linwood_barclay sure, your not wrong on saying that canada hasn’t managed them to the extent they have, but that doesn’t change the variables that create the (keyword) WILD fires.
nor can we control the wind.
talk about logic when you’ve barely shown any.
good day,
@CindyCoops@linwood_barclay come on Cindy… they’ve been happening since i was a toddler…
wild fires are called WILD fires for a reason… your acting like we just turn our backs and walk away now once we see flames. i have buddies out in the wilderness actively fighting these fires.
@CindyCoops@linwood_barclay let alone extinguish those fires…
from what i remember, the LA fires didn’t go out instantly, especially when they were right next to the city with tons of infrastructure and help needed. yet there was still water shortages.
smoked filled vancouver air and i didn’t complain.
@CindyCoops@linwood_barclay then get control of the hurricanes that rapidly strengthen over america, which heavily damages the canadian east coast and brings flooding and horrific weather. canadians will die because of american incompetence…
(see how stupid we both sound)
@linwood_barclay Poor Canada. The "wE HeLPeD PuT OuT A fiRe OnCE" talking point went out and they feel so smug about it.
The US, as usual, is helping Canada right now. Start managing your country better and stop whining when rightly rebuked for your negligence and incompetence.
@grayzoneibof@lilbabygandhi funny how every other post from you has something to do with your hatred for canada.
we live rent free in your head…time for you to reflect lil bro.
I’ve been saying this forever. But every American, left or right, wants Canada to be subjugated and a vassal state to the US. They all behave exactly the same with varying levels of obnoxiousness.
The plans to finish the Olympic Stadium's interior renovations are fantastic news for Montreal, Quebec and Canadian sport in general.
Between that and the Whitecaps' offer to run BC Place, there's some positivity for the two cities' MLS futures.

@VaxxedSax@scrumble_eggs There's not a single year in recorded history that didn't have massive wildfires in Canada. Not one. Ever.
It's how the trees reproduce. Without fire, the world's largest forest dies.
Americans started caring last Tuesday when the Six Flags closed for a day.
@WillTobin13 not necessarily mate… just cause there’s flat land doesn’t mean it’s adequate to build on…
not gonna give you a whole lesson about topography and geography as i know those subjects are tough for some of you americans.
We don't have "forests" and "brush" like America has, basically just treed protected areas surrounded by cities, towns, and farmland. We have actual wilderness, vast wilderness with no people, surrounded by more wilderness. He's welcome to come rake it. Good luck finding a road.
@Fujimori_v2@s4rah_dev put out your own wild fires before coming after us…
when Washington state and Oregon were on fire, where i lived was completely smoked out… could barely see the sun. i don’t remember local canadians complaining or threatening to bomb/annex you.
@s4rah_dev The book you should be picking up.. make no mistake. Successful fire prevention is a national security emergency for Canada. Americans will not keep living like this and we won’t care what you object to when we make changes that ensure it stops if you won’t do it yourselves
Some Americans talking tough about invading Canada when you just spent 2 decades and over 2 trillion dollars replacing the Taliban with the Taliban 😂😂😂 Nobody is afraid of you.
To my kind American friends being sensible, thank you for your effort. The rest of you, pick up a history book.
