The Supreme Court has today reserved judgment on the appeal submitted by the PDP, which lists Sule Lamido, INEC, Austin Nwachukwu, and two others as respondents. This follows the regularization of the procedures and the hearing of the main appeal.

🚨🎙John Terry on the Brighton defeat and a message to the owners:** 🗣"It has become the norm for Chelsea to lose. As a supporter, I’ve lost hope and I have no confidence in the coach or the players. Look at how Liam Rosenior sets up this team, do you really see any desire or mentality to win? It feels like they had a purple patch when he first came in, but they’ve lost it all. Now it even looks like they’re playing against the coach. Rosenior seems like someone who has lost the dressing room, and many of the players had grown fond of Enzo Maresca. That change has clearly affected them. Going forward, Chelsea need an experienced coach. For God’s sake, you can’t sign kids and then hire an inexperienced manager to lead them, the owners need to realise that. Right now, there’s inexperience everywhere, including the coach. The club is falling apart, and trust me, Rosenior is not the right man to take it forward. You look at other big clubs, none of them take this approach. The owners need a reality check. As supporters, we love this club, and this is too painful to endure." (Fiction)

That figure is misleading. Nigeria’s total public debt hasn’t jumped by ₦156trn in 3 years, that would mean more than doubling the entire debt stock in record time, which simply didn’t happen. What usually gets twisted here is the inclusion of CBN ‘Ways & Means’ advances, exchange rate revaluation (which inflates naira-denominated debt), and already-existing obligations being reclassified, not fresh borrowing of that magnitude. Also, comparing administrations without aligning the same metrics (external + domestic debt, FX impact, and timeframes) is how misinformation spreads. Criticize policies if you want, but at least use consistent and verifiable numbers, not exaggerated figures designed to scare people.

Our Nigerian troops have launched full-scale clearance operations in Jilli and surrounding villages once dominated by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists. This is another massive, crushing blow to the terrorists — their safe havens are collapsing, and the pressure is only getting heavier.

Troops recover anti-aircraft gun, ammunition after encounter with terrorists in Borno By: Zagazola Makama Troops of the Nigerian Army under Operation Hadin Kai have recovered a heavy weapon and ammunition following a clearance operation and engagement with terrorists in Borno State. Security sources said the development occurred on April 21, 2026, during follow-up exploitation operations at Nanewa village, where troops had earlier engaged and neutralised several terrorists in a firefight. According to the sources, troops conducting a mop-up operation along the withdrawal route of the fleeing insurgents discovered an anti-aircraft machine gun, alongside several rounds of 7.62×54mm ammunition believed to have been abandoned during the encounter. The sources added that traces of blood were also observed along the escape route, indicating that the terrorists may have sustained injuries during the earlier engagement. Military authorities confirmed that weapons and recovered items have been secured for further analysis and documentation.

The haters of Tinubu govt are doing it for selfish reasons ( batch 4).... When Buhari became president in 2015.... A 50Kg of Rice was about N12,000.... Nigeria was producing about 3 million metric tonnes annually.... Buhari through The CBN initiated the Anchor Borrowers program.... Investing over N1.2trillion on about 4 million farmers especially in the Rice sectors... With almost 80% of them being Northerners.... To protect this investment... The Buhari govt locked the borders and ban rice importation.. This policy grew Nigeria rice production to almost 6 million tonnes... Which was almost double the 2015 figure... That was where the good news ended... Despite the increase in production.... Rice prices grew to almost N45,000 in 2023 when Buhari left office... Almost 300% surge.... There was mounting pressure on Buhari to open the borders for rice importation....but we stood with Buhari because we felt the job growth must be sustained and scarce FX conserved... At the end of Buhari tenure.... Only about 40% of the disbursed N1.2trillion was repaid.... Almost N800billion. Was seized by these farmers... Safe to say like politicians they looted over N800billion The same farmers who couldn't pay their debt... Vowed to sponsor Emefiele Presidential ambition..released hundreds of millions of Naira for him to purchased forms buy cars.... As Emefiele probably assured them of more free access to CBN as president.... Tinubu decided to end the fraudulent program when he became president.... These immediately angered the 80% northern genuine and social media farmers not removing their 20% southern counterparts.. Their conduit pipes to the national treasury was gone... Most of the Northern social media warriors and some of their southern counterparts attacking Tinubu today were all beneficiaries of the Emefiele anchor Borrowers windfall... Many never had farms at all..... To make matters worse the rice farmers collectively tried to punish Tinubu by massively increasing price of rice to over N120,000 from N45,000 in less than one year.... Tinubu has since cured their krays with rice importation.... Did it crash Nigeria rice production?..... Slightly..... about 6%... Did Tinubu abandon Agriculture......No... Tinubu has capitalized the Bank of Agriculture with N1.5trillion..... these angry Tinubu haters don't want to obtain a securitize loan they will pay back.... Nigeria N800billion gone... Swallowed by those hoping Tinubu will be Emefiele.... Instead of atoning for their sins they are angry with those who ended their criminality against Nigeria... The opposition of Tinubu govt is not driven by national interest... But greed..

A Second Term for President Bola Tinubu is In The Interest of Nigeria's Stability and Unity. The Southwest, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in particular, are reliable partners in building unity in Nigeria. It is therefore in the interest of all those to whom Nigerian unity is paramount to give them the right hand of fellowship for this nation to continue its drive to greatness undisturbed. Please fact-check me: On two occasions, in 1953 and 1966, Northern Nigeria attempted to secede from Nigeria. Both times, our beloved brethren in Arewa were persuaded against the hasty and heady decision by friends of Nigeria and leaders, such as then Lt. Colonel Gowon, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, and others who believed in Nigeria's unity under a constitutional order. Of the three Southern geopolitical zones, two have attempted secession from Nigeria. The only component unit of Nigeria that has never deviated from its fidelity to Nigeria is the Southwest. The Southwest, and its predecessor, Western Nigeria, have always shown faithfulness to Nigeria as an undivided corporate unit of one nation under God. Even at the height of the struggle to revalidate the June 12, 1993 mandate freely given to Chief Moshood Abiola, the Southwest remained true to Nigeria. In the last 27 years, it has been persons of Southwest origin who God used to almost single-handedly enthrone Nigerian Presidents of Northern origin. Umaru Musa Yar'adua became President of Nigeria on a platter of gold, almost solely by the strength of his endorsement by President Olusegun Obasanjo. Without Chief Obasanjo, it is almost certain that Yar'adua would have become a polytechnic lecturer after his tenure as Katsina Governor. And after three previous unsuccessful attempts to become Nigeria's President, General Muhammadu Buhari only succeeded in the APC primaries and the general election because of the backing of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Without Jagaban, the 2015 Presidential election would have ended differently. These are indisputable facts, however much it may be expedient for some people to try to deny. Therefore, I want to ask Arewa to think about the future of Nigeria as one corporate and indivisible nation under God, and consider whether it will be wise, bearing in mind Nigeria's history, to undermine the handshake across the Niger that has existed between the North and its reliable Southern allies. Nigeria is a multicultural, multiethnic, multiracial, and multi-religious country. A country is a geographical space. Nigeria cannot remain a country. We must progress from being a country to being a nation. A nation refers to the unity of the people in the geographical space. Since our independence on October 1, 1960, rotation of power between the North and the South has been the best tool we have found to stabilise our country and strengthen our unity. On the economic front, we should all consider whether it is wise to change a performing rider on a reliable horse midstream. While CNNMoney rated Nigeria's economy in 2015 as the world's third-fastest-growing, the World Bank had us down as the fourth-fastest-growing economy on Earth. Since that time, Nigeria has not returned to the list of the world's fastest-growing economies, until the International Monetary Fund featured Nigeria on the list on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Before that, the IMF revealed that Nigeria was the sixth-largest contributor to global GDP growth in 2025. Under Tinubu, Nigeria has experienced 12 cycles of uninterrupted GDP growth and trade surpluses, and, for the first time since 2015, our economy is growing faster than our population. When this happens for eight years, according to the verified theory of Reverend Malthus, our security challenges will sort themselves out. As such, I appeal to influential individuals to allow the South, and specifically President Tinubu, complete the two terms of four years that are accruable to the South, in the interest of Nigeria's unity.

As I step into this new year of life, I pause to thank God for the precious gift of another year on earth. I am deeply grateful for His mercy that has sustained me, His favor that has gone before me, and His grace that has carried me through every season. *Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.' — Lamentations 3:22–23* Today, I celebrate not just the passing of time, but the faithfulness of a God who has made all things new. I invite you to rejoice with me as I mark this special milestone. Happy Birthday to Me.
