This was never about trying to get Valve for something that MAY be credible, this was about trying to control Valve through Age Verification and rip money out of them.
That is the reason they aren't going after EA. Epic. Ubisoft or any of their ilk, because they are all willingly complying with all of this crap unlike Valve who is actively for the consumer.
And this is getting worse because Letitia James is under scrutiny in New York for other issues, so she is trying to escalate this.

I think Japanese companies should be more careful about localization issues for anime, manga, games, and other media. They need to ensure that the appeal of Japanese content is properly conveyed to the world, and that the platforms that guarantee this are also important.
