🇹🇷🇮🇱 Turkey vs. Israel on a military scoreboard? That fight gets interesting real fast.
Start with the money.
Israel spends about $49.8B on defense. That’s roughly 8% of its entire economy, which is huge. Turkey boosted its budget to about $27.3B. So Israel is basically spending almost double.
Now manpower.
Turkey wins the size game. Around 480,000 active troops plus about 380,000 reserves.
Israel has about 170,000 active soldiers, but their system runs on reserves. In a crisis they can pull in about 465,000 very quickly. And many of them have real combat experience because the IDF has basically been fighting nonstop for years.
The big difference though shows up in the air.
Israel’s air force is extremely advanced. F-35 stealth jets, long range strike capability, and very tight intelligence integration. The kind of setup that lets them strike far away before the other side even reacts.
Turkey isn’t weak though. Huge military, strong drone industry, and a defense sector growing fast.
Now the sea.
Turkey clearly has the bigger navy with more frigates, corvettes, and around 12 submarines. They’re also building the Anadolu amphibious assault ship, basically a mini carrier designed to run drones and helicopters.
Israel’s navy is smaller but very high tech. Advanced Sa’ar corvettes and Dolphin submarines, which many analysts believe are tied to Israel’s nuclear deterrent.
So the quick picture looks like this:
Turkey brings numbers, manpower, and a larger fleet.
Israel brings tech, stealth aircraft, and precision strikes.
