Last week, the world's "safe haven" gold, plunged 9.6% — its biggest weekly loss in over 40 years. Bitcoin pulled back 9% from recent highs. And held. The difference? Bitcoin's supply is fixed, public, and mathematically certain. No gatekeepers. The asset Wall Street calls "too volatile" just outperformed the 5,000-year-old store of value — not by going up, but by going down less, on its own terms. Volatility isn't the risk. Unpredictability is.

So what does this mean for the average person running a small business? 1. the bitcoin protocol is continuing to work regardless of the regulatory environment, the news cycle, or sentiment 2. individuals, businesses, pension funds, banks, and nation states are adopting bitcoin. In 10 years or so, we will accept it as part of every day life 3. the absolute scarcity is fixed. Only 1,000,000 more to mine. EVER. And while it is divisible to 8 decimal points -- so everyone can use it -- the opportunity to buy some now is so valuable it's hard to overstate.

Safe Haven Bitcoin dipped to $63K over the weekend as airstrikes hit Iran. Equities cratered. Oil spiked. Then bitcoin bounced back to $66K while stocks kept sliding. This is what "uncorrelated asset" looks like in practice. No CEO to panic. No board to issue a press release. Just a protocol doing exactly what it was designed to do. Sound money doesn't care about geopolitics. That's the point.
