I like the process Bayern Munich took to rejuvenate the team's identity after 2008.
They were determined to play possession-based football, and they hired Louis Van Gaal to achieve this goal. He did, but they arrived at a point where RIGIDITY prevented them from taking the next step. Bayern Munich were predictable.
They went for Jupp Heynckes, who stuck with Van Gaal's model, but wanted to add speed and "regular changes of rhythm", which produced more goals. HOWEVER, the feeling with Heynckes was that fluidity is missing.
Pep Guardiola was meant to be the third phase of Bayern's rejuvenation. They didn't want only goals, but more flexible positioning, non-stop, fluid movement. What was surprising to me was that Bayern Munich had already won the treble, and the board was more excited about the changes Pep Guardiola would bring to the team.

@Mocraft123 @RisingStarXI Doku and Trossard are the two left wingers. Godts can only play as a LW. Moreira (RW) ans Fernandez-Pardo (ST) can also play on the left wing.

Seeing the lack of development from France’s midfield given what they had in 2018 is something to keep an eye. It might be what sells them short at the World Cup.

@nic_haesvau Glaub mir, es ist ein landesweites Problem. In keinem anderen Land wird bei einem Stürmer mit diesen Zahlen im Ansatz darüber nachgedacht, ihn nicht mitzunehmen.

@TentixPSD Er macht gleich Landesweites Problem daraus und nein ich habe nicht gesagt, dass ich ihn definitiv rausnehmen würde, weil irgendwo muss ich realistisch bleiben. Nagelsmann wird keinen Tresoldi mitnehmen aber wenn, dann würde er Undav rauslassen.

@nic_haesvau Du hast ihn zwar drinnen, aber alleine der Gedanke, das Gegenteil zu tun, ist per se schon falsch. Aber wer weiß, Nagelsmann hats nicht mit Leistungsprinzip (siehe Goretzka), weshalb Undav nicht zu 100% im Boot ist, was fatal ist.

@nic_haesvau Ich weiß nicht, in welcher Welt Undav charakterlich schwierig sein soll, und alleine die Tatsache, dass du anscheinend nach Daten und Zahlen gewählt hast und immer noch zu dem Entschluss kommst, ihn nicht mitzunehmen, zeigt, was für ein Wahrnehmungsproblem dieses Land hat.

Max Eberl is fighting for his Bayern future ahead of today's supervisory board meeting. While the extensions of Jan-Christian Dreesen and Christoph Freund are considered a mere formality, Eberl is under close scrutiny by the supervisory board and is trying to get their support Eberl has repeatedly faced criticism internally and in public, and was accused of, among other things, of excessively expensive contracts and repeated unilateral actions. He was also criticized for lacking a healthy approach to internal conflicts with board members. And even now, Eberl is viewed critically by some members of the supervisory board. Internal discussions suggest he is too easily swayed by player agents. Instead of asserting himself in negotiations, Eberl is said to be too conciliatory. This has led to 'unnecessarily expensive contracts and damaged the club's reputation' Nevertheless, the supervisory board wants to give Eberl the opportunity to prove himself in the upcoming transfer window, where he has to deliver. Moreover, he's credited with the signings of Vincent Kompany and Michael Olise. However, this is just a temporary reprieve for him.
