Bad take. We need to continue the path we are on. Deeper lateral trades with east Asia and Europe, shrink government, reduce cross-provincial red tape, invest in Post-Secondary Research funding to attract researchers and shrink our ties with the states.

Should be no sales tax on your first property only.

Well. I am doing that too. I am legal and I am not so certain I'll get to withdraw my contributions. My wife for example has been told she has two years to live. Yet they won't let her withdraw her contribution. Let's set that aside though. You asked a serious question. ---- I have a problem with the fact they are in the country illegaly. I think of it much like someone crawling through the window of my house. If they start paying me rent that doesn't mean I am suddenly okay with them living there. If I have plenty of extra and no one in my house is struggling I might be a bit more lenient. However, if more keep crawling through the window and whether they are paying or not I start to look and see people who did not crawl through the window that are struggling. Perhaps they are struggling because they don't have access to resources they would have if those people were not here. If they entered legally through a port of entry then to me that is a lot like knocking on my door and being invited in. Very different. I also have more control over the flow. ---- If you have never done so you should look into a study by Cloward & Piven. They did a study and came up with an idea that you could collapse any nation by increasing immigration while also providing welfare and social programs. I think this plan has been in action for awhile now and not just in the U.S. You can ask why? I can speculate and realize that is all it is. We have people talking about New World Order, One World Government, etc. for a long time now... Whether you consider it a conspiracy theory or not. How would you accomplish that when you have a lot of sovereign nations that do not want to give up their sovereignty? I personally think they are using what is known as the Hegelian Dialectic. Create the problem that will make your proposed solution become desirable. I sometimes ask a question and you may have encountered me asking it already. Have you ever been able to vote for the person that represents you on the United Nations? In the U.S. the answer is no. I've actually never met anyone that has said yes. So that means it is essentially a global oligarchy of unelected people that seem to dictate a lot of what we do. If you look into a lot of this mass migration that is happening around the world right now and you go to the countries many of these migrants are coming from you will often find U.N. funded programs encouraging them to do so, perhaps offering funding and support, and telling them how to do it. It seems like Cloward & Piven... and the Hegelian dialectic is if the countries collapse into chaos the U.N. can try to come forth as the Saviors. Yet they are unelected. Those people pushing for a New World Order, or One World Government have never stopped to state that would be a good form of government. They haven't stated it would not be an Oligarchy, Plutocracy, Dictatorship, Empire, etc. They just claim to want a one world government. I don't know about you but a tyrannical dictatorship is not any worse than a tyrannical oligarchy. For the people the end result is the same. ---- So if you take the analogy of your house being like your country. No matter how compassionate you are in wanting to help whomever makes it one way or the other into your house. You will run out of capacity to support that at some point. If you are giving away free services as needed it will happen much faster. If some of them are paying that will not stop the collapse. It might slow the collapse down yet it still is a problem. Immigration can be great. Yet the flow of it must be controlled so as not to harm the country or the people that already live there. This means no sneaking through the windows...
