Told a grumpy gym employee who never smiles that i liked his shaved head. He said “thanks, I shave it every year to honor my son who died of cancer” Normally this would throw me off and I would awkwardly apologize for bringing it up, but I thought of the grieving parents on here who have said over and over that they enjoy talking about their kids, so I asked about his son. He absolutely lit up and told me all about what a wonderful man he grew into, obviously just happy to share his memory. So thanks, everyone, for sharing. It makes a difference irl

For anyone that doubts if the Lord answers prayers should pray concerning his sanctification for fewer things delights the heart of the Lord like making saints out of sinners. There is no one who truly thirsts for righteousness that does not receive a response from heaven.

Try Jesus before you exit earth

Whenever you feel bad for not praying, missing your prayer routine; be happy because it is only the Spirit of God that can make you feel that way. Also, rejoice because it is evident that you indeed love prayer and that your spirit burns for God. But don’t let the sorrow translate to withdrawal. Hurriedly find your back. When you then start praying again, it will feel harder initially. But persists. In no time your Lord will come again. The spirit will flow and fellowship will be restored. Your peace will come again and you will know your Lord never left, your soul merely agonized because it was far from Him who is its light. Go back to pray. Today. Amen.
