@DanHoppOPS If Buffalo wins the division it will go to Ruff. Otherwise I think it’s Bowness in CBJ or Tourigny in Utah. Muse is probably somewhere in that Bowness, Tourigny group after Ruff. IMO it should be Tourigny but that’s just me… unless of course Buffalo wins the division.

All these guys who keep posting about him just see the Bouch Bomb stuff and forget he’s irresponsible with the puck.

@OilerAlert Bouchard needs to learn to play defense to win the Norris. He’s so bad on defense Team Canada didn’t want him on the roster. IMO it should be Dahlin for the Norris but it will end up being Makar because it’s a popularity contest and not a who’s the best defenseman award anymore.

@TopTierPucks Makar can afford some leeway because of his speed. Bouchard can’t, so when he coughs up the puck as the QB he ends up giving up a breakaway or an odd-man rush. This is the defensive lapse we talk about. This as a person “who studies” the game should know.

@TopTierPucks As an offensive puck moving defenseman both Bouchard and Makar are top of the cycle. If you, as the puck moving d-man QBing the cycle, cough up a puck you’re the last line of defense between the attacker and goalie. Speed has everything to do with defensive back checking.

@TopTierPucks Why? I know Makar has lapses. I’ve seen it. The difference between Bouchard and Makar is that Makar has the speed to make up ground and make a defensive play where is Bouchard can’t because of his lumbering size.
