It doesn't matter it succeeded, and by a long shot, they don't need to prove anything to anyone but hytale is a pre alpha game that people buy for of course updates will be faster they want to finish the goddamn game people payed for.

@TheStrikers63 @themichaeltbh It didn't come out of nowhere they spoke about multiple times already added to bedrock and the first snapshot that had any trace of this change was in mounts of mayham that still released before hytale so no it was planned and developed before hytale it's just a coincidence.

@themichaeltbh If you genuinely think Hytale is NOT the trigger for Minecraft's recent updates, you are completely delusional. They had 11 YEARS to implement these, but this comming out of nowhere is NOT a coïncidence. I love Minecraft with a passion, but the Minecraft team is lazy af.

@Prowl8413 I mean, when the combined playerbase of the competition games is like less than 2% of the minecraft player base, it is kinda hard for anyone to care, like I'm 99% sure jeb played hytale once than never thought about it again let alone saw it as competition.

I'll put it this way. You have 2 options. Option 1: Mojang see's competition coming in the form of many other games, and decides its good to react, and ramp-up adding new features that have been long requested for the game, in an effort to not eventually fall behind. Option 2: Mojang doesn't react or pay attention to competition, just continues to chug along with a few small updates a year, trying to throw a little something to every player type along the way, only really focusing on gameplay stuff they can market I want to live in a world where Minecraft does #1, because that means I get a better Minecraft to play. For the people that want to say "Hytale is dead game", you're just uninformed, which is fine, I don't expect people to nerd out over the details of a pre-release game that admittedly doesn't have a ton of substance yet. Keep having fun playing Minecraft or whatever else for now, you'll jump on board when the time is right, and I'll welcome you aboard :)

@dev_louit @ItSunshiDDR3_ @not_mynes Also, no,the first snapshot that adds anything related to the friends' lists was the snapshot of the mounts of mayhem update, which is also before hytale releases by few weeks of course it doesn't mean this the first time they worked on it but the first time we saw it before now.

*Hytale adds friends list 1 month ago *Mojang announces friends list for Java Edition This is exactly what I meant when I said competition is good in a genre. This is a big win for Minecraft fans 🔥

@dev_louit @flash_canadian O is the letter used in pretty much every multiplayer mod before hytale especially essential the most famous one....also the icons look nothing alike

@TerrAria19633 @flash_canadian Strangely that only arrived after hytale implemented theirs and with the same way down to the graphics (the report icon changed to one equals to hytale) to same keybind (letter O). It is positively, but saying it is not influenced it by hytale is acting blind lol

Is Minecraft making changes because of Hytale? Ive seen more open communication, the announcement of a creator program, and now they are adding friends lists(java) and groups(bedrock)? All things the community has begged for 5+ years, suddenly added within the last 3 months.

@ItSunshiDDR3_ @not_mynes Yes, it kind of does....it means that they didn't rush a feature just because hytale did it they said they gonna add it and worked on it before hytale releases. Therefore, it can't be because of hytale, especially since it was already in bedrock for years.

@TerrAria19633 @not_mynes And does that even matter now? Past promises are worthless if they aren't fulfilled promptly. Hytale came out first, and then a Master Play feature was added, while Mojang only had words, no action... But at least MP has finally arrived after Hytale

@Prowl8413 No seriously there's like 3 channels that get any attention and they all news channels I literally had to scroll for a long time to find a single hytale video that isn't news and have 1000 views atleast and recent (it was a minecraft youtubeer who tried the game once)

@SpinoAxol There was a literal 0% chance of a sculk dimension happening. This was easily always Dungeons 2. Different game, different team. One doesnt pull from the other, and Dungeons 2 can easily flex to be things that Vanilla Minecraft cannot
