@banbadmen Regardless of the opinions etc on the matter, does it have to met with the hatred and abuse? I don’t feel it serves anyone good. I am all for people having difference on opinions but both sides need to do better in delivering their arguments otherwise humanity is further lost

A look at Gaelic Football Preliminary Quarters this weekend. And a Quick Look at what we are seeing as the important factors in winning games (between relatively even teams) in Gaelic Football. Have a read why I think Cavan, Cork, Louth and Down will be in Mondays draw. Special thanks to @somearagaa and @StatsAndSolos who’s data analysis and excellent work I use to shape my football articles as great reference points. kevinmulcahy.substack.com/p/gaelic-footb…

I'm assuming you haven't missed the nuance of the word "deserved" and are trying to be pedantic. But just to be clear... Yes, if you kick a 14 yard free wide and lose by a point, you deserve to lose because you missed a 14 yard free But I think people generally understand that when I use the word "deserve" in this context that I'm talking about the relativity of chances created. That if you missed a 14 yard free and lost by a point that "you deserved to draw" If you hadn't understood that, I hope you do now As for Expected Score on 2-pointers. Is that a serious question or have I missed some subtle nuance? I'm presuming you are indeed aware that 2-pointers have come into effect this season The answer is, and it's not tricky - you apply the normal Expected Score parameters (distance X pressure) and you multiply by 2 Genuine question - did you go through my summary table properly before you responded? It should all be pretty clear to a man with your CV if you did If you didn't, could I respectfully suggest that a man of your professional standing should do before responding to tweets

Full time stats #dublingaa vs #DerryGAA Dublin deserving victors with Expected Score of 21.7 to 16.5 The story of Derry's championship - they scored more per ten phases but lost the lion's share of kick-outs - like vs Armagh 6.1 points per ten phases for Derry to 5.2 for Dublin but Dublin won 18/3 kick-outs while Derry only won 16/11 Dublin had 42 phases to Derry's 33 #gaa

@Harri21263Steve @WrecklessGamer No I just mean objective. What figures is he relating to with this massive influx? Maybe use actual figures instead of vague language. There clearly are issues with migration but I feel the reporting could be a bit less blameful.

Dougie Beattie telling it like it is again regarding the recent trouble in Northern Ireland. I must have a deathwish posting this given the level of abuse I got for posting his last article. Bring it on 🤣

'You should play fair, talk to me. What are my faults?' Kevin Rous, a Wrightbus nightshift worker from the Philippines, had his Cullybackey home targeted during anti-immigration unrest in Ballymena last night. His car was burnt out while his wife and two children were inside his home. The disorder followed a protest in Clonavon Terrace where missiles were thrown at PSNI officers, properties were damaged, and barricades were set on fire.

@WrecklessGamer Ah yes of course - massive influx of migrants means it’s ok to cause the damage being caused. All those youth rioting are the ones looking for housing and being forced out of ballymena. It’s nothing more than racial hatred. Poor reporting but then again it’s GB news reporting it.

@Terrenceohara I didn't hear justification simply an explanation of the background of what has led to the trouble. If a reporter tried to justify violence they would soon be out of a job.

@movementcoachkm I cannot speak for lower ages groups but there manat factors within the game. GAA is not alone in this as I am hearing from other sports it’s the exact same as what you are describing. It’s one of the main problems in soccer

I don’t think it’s got very much to do with money really. This starts at u6 now. The creativity is hammered out of them. The survivors all hurl the same way. We’ve no mavericks anymore. That repetitive isolated “make them sweaty” approach is then indeed double downed on by some absolutely amazing bluffers getting outrageous money at club and county level. Not all of course, but a disproportionately high %

@movementcoachkm I agree with all your points and I’m just being annoying. Lol. This is the cost to the game when making money becomes a main aim - Too many chefs my friend

@Cheesewright3 Maybe when you say “I don’t know about subtleties” then don’t use others perceived ignorance to justify your own - maybe just don’t post

I'm going to admit it. Unlike nearly everyone else on NI X I don't know enough about the subtleties of Israel/Gaza to take sides on it. Then again, neither do they. Being a Mick/Prod seems to be enough to declare oneself an expert on middle eastern affairs.
