Today, Terrestrial Energy and @RiotPlatforms signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the development of Terrestrial Energy’s IMSR Plants, which will be co-located with Riot's data centers, built for AI and high-performance compute applications. Our collaboration with Riot Platforms will pair best-in-class nuclear energy and data centers to deploy multiple 390 MW IMSR Plants, representing up to 4 GW of nuclear power capacity. It will also include the potential to incorporate natural gas as a bridge fuel for commercial operations on an accelerated timeline and enhance power supply resilience alongside IMSR Plant development. Terrestrial Energy’s IMSR Plant is uniquely suited for data center operation and our non-nuclear energy conversion system provides a competitive advantage in the small modular reactor (SMR) sector. Terrestrial Energy continues to advance its Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) Plant projects, including its participation in U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s Advanced Reactor Pilot and Fuel Line Pilot programs as it works toward commercial deployment. In a recent conversation with @ChemEngMag, CEO and Director, Simon Irish, discussed how the IMSR's 585°C output improves the efficiency of electricity power generation by nearly 50% over light water reactors, as well as being deliverable directly to drive the thermal energy needs of many chemical production processes. At 390 MW electric or 822 MW thermal or combination of both, the IMSR Plant is sized for industrial scale users. chemengonline.com/molten-salt-nu…

We are pleased to announce another regulatory milestone as we advance our programs for licensed commercial operation of IMSR Plants in the U.S. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued its Safety Evaluation Report (SER) for the company’s Postulated Initiating Events (PIE) Topical Report, which follows the NRC's acceptance of Terrestrial Energy's final Topical Report submission announced in April 2026. The Topical Report’s approved safety evaluation establishes another fundamental regulatory framework supporting future IMSR Plant licensed operation. This and prior NRC approved safety analyses of IMSR performance establish critical elements of the IMSR’s licensing basis and reinforce the company’s continued progress toward commercial deployments of multiple IMSR plants. → Full press release: businesswire.com/news/home/2026… #IMSR #SMR #NuclearEnergy

Terrestrial Energy just hit a significant NRC milestone. We’ve submitted a foundational safety analysis to the @NRCgov — a critical step toward licensed commercial operation of the IMSR Plant in the U.S. What makes this meaningful beyond the regulatory milestone: the NRC’s Safety Evaluation Report process allows a single review to apply across multiple IMSR plants — a scalability advantage built into the licensing framework from the start. This builds on our NRC Principal Design Criteria approval achieved in 2025, and keeps us on track toward deployment of the first commercial IMSR plants in the early 2030s. → Full press release:  ir.terrestrialenergy.com/news-releases/… #IMSR #AdvancedNuclear #SMR #CleanEnergy #NuclearEnergy

Today, Terrestrial Energy announced the execution of a second Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement with the Department of Energy (DOE) - this time for Project TEFLA under the Fuel Line Pilot Program. This agreement represents a critical step forward in advancing our integrated fuel-to-reactor commercialization strategy. Project TEFLA will demonstrate our proprietary IMSR Fuel Salt production technology at pilot scale, using readily available SALEU fuel and leveraging our existing supplier relationships. The fuel produced will directly support our Project TETRA test reactor, creating a seamless pathway from fuel production to reactor operation. "Projects TEFLA and TETRA deliver critical elements on IMSR plant design and operation via an accelerated DOE authorization pathway," said Simon Irish, CEO of Terrestrial Energy. "These programs encompass key technologies for IMSR plant commercialization, from fuel to reactor supply, and demonstrate our commitment to delivering practical, deployable nuclear solutions that strengthen America's energy security." With two active DOE OTA agreements now in place, we're accelerating toward our goal of delivering flexible, clean firm energy through our commercial IMSR plants in the early 2030s. Last week, Sarfraz Taj, VP Business Development, participated in a panel titled Unlocking Nuclear Investment: Tackling the Roadblocks to Deployment at the Projects & Money Conference 2026. “The Terrestrial Energy Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) Plant unlocks investment into new nuclear through transformative capital efficiency and cost improvement. The IMSR Plant’s low-pressure operation eases design requirements and lowers manufacturing costs, and a long, cost-effective LEU fuel cycle further improves economics. The IMSR Plant delivers best-in-class high-temperature thermal output for industrial processes and for electricity generation at ~50% higher efficiency than legacy plants.” “These are some of the many ways our team is focused on removing roadblocks to commercial scale deployment,” said Sarfraz. Terrestrial Energy is working to swiftly commercialize its IMSR advanced reactor technology in order to deliver clean, reliable, and cost-effective high-temperature industrial heat and electricity at scale.
