Today, Terrestrial Energy announced the execution of a second Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement with the Department of Energy (DOE) - this time for Project TEFLA under the Fuel Line Pilot Program. This agreement represents a critical step forward in advancing our integrated fuel-to-reactor commercialization strategy. Project TEFLA will demonstrate our proprietary IMSR Fuel Salt production technology at pilot scale, using readily available SALEU fuel and leveraging our existing supplier relationships. The fuel produced will directly support our Project TETRA test reactor, creating a seamless pathway from fuel production to reactor operation. "Projects TEFLA and TETRA deliver critical elements on IMSR plant design and operation via an accelerated DOE authorization pathway," said Simon Irish, CEO of Terrestrial Energy.
