CSR Zama Whimsicott Report (used by @miraii1__ & @dartsvg ) This team was built by an Irish group, debuting in Utrecht Special event with a Top 16 finish by Max Musumeci. It features CSR Zama but Whimsicott a unique pick for this restricted duo The Team: pokepast.es/e5970d096df766… Calyrex-Shadow: I really like Modest Calyrex a lot here. The extra damage helps you against Calyrex-Ice and Zamazenta especially while the lack of speed is something you can control with Redirection, Wide Guard and Tailwind. I went for enough speed to outspeed Dondozo by 2 points and the bulk allows CSR to eat Choice Scarf Electro Drift / Draco Meteor from Miraidon. It also ensures some safety against priorities. Pollen Puff is a great move to threaten Tera Dark CSR and Farigiraf. You can also use it to heal up your Zamazenta if needed. Zamazenta: Zamazenta is an amazing partner for CSR, removing Dark and Normal Types while CSR deals with Poison, Ghost and Psychic types. I decided to go for a very bulky set to survive +2 Astral Barrage / Psychic from opposing Life Orb CSR (Modest is a roll). Surviving Electro Drift from Miraidon also seemed quite valuable and it still allows this Zamazenta to run enough speed to outspeed Modest Landorus & Chi-Yu as well as being one point faster than Max Speed +1 Flutter Mane if Tailwind is set up. Whimsicott: Setting up Tailwind is great. Whimsicott is also a good pick here cause defensive plays can get punished with Encore. Fake Tears is also another amazing tool to allow CSR and Raging Bolt more knockouts. Playing around all those moves is really hard for your opponent. I also really wanted this Whimsicott to outspeed Flutter Mane so you can double Tap it with Astral Barrage + Moonblast. Tera Dark helps against opposing Prankster stuff and CSR. The bulk lets this Whimsicott survive one move from Life Orb CSR and Choice Specs Miraidon as well as Behemoth Bash from Zamazenta. Raging Bolt: Raging Bolt appreciates all the support from Whimsicott and is a good Pokémon generally speaking. It can punish the use of Tera Water from CIR or Incineroar really nicely and its defensive profile of resisting fire and water moves is also appreciated. Speed wise I figured that outspeeding CSR in Tailwind is enough. I wanted to have some bulk to withstand a Life Orb Close Combat from Koraidon as well as a Helping Hand / +1 Astral Barrage from Life Orb CSR. Draco Meteor from non Damage boosting Miraidon is also not a KO if you terastalize. Chien-Pao: Chien-Pao is amazing for Zamazenta. Dark Type couverage really helps for the Body Press switchins and Ice Spinner is cool for Flying types and removing terrain. Psychic Terrain removal helps enabling priorities, Grassy Terrain removal is good to deny Grassy Glide against CSR and Chien-Pao itself and removing Electric Terrain to disturb Miraidon is a no brainer. This is also why I went for a Jolly Nature. Taunt helps to deny Leech Seed or Trick Room from CIR and makes endgames way more manageable. Tera Ghost helps against Fake Out and Extreme Speed from Dragonite. Ogerpon-Hearthflame: Ogerpon on this team has one role. Support its team members with Helping Hand and Follow Me and remove annoying Pokémon for your Restricteds like Amoonguss for Zamazenta. The physical Defense Ogerpon is really good here cause it survives Life Orb Close Combat from Koraidon and two!! Glacial Lances from CIR. It also allows your own CSR to stay in front of Incineroar cause you can spam Astral Barrage + Follow Me and it makes it really hard for your opponent to get through it. 135 speed for Tornadus in Tailwind if you are -1 speed and 12 SpDef to increase the survival chance against Miraidon. Variations: You can make Whimsicott faster than Timid Kyogre. Same goes for Zamazenta but keep in mind that certain moves will do more damage in return. I've seen Tera Water versions on Whimsicott which is better into Zamazenta, Koraidon, Calyrex-Ice and Incineroar. Chien-Pao can make use of Ruination instead of Taunt, especially with a Modest Nature on CSR cause it allows for some nasty double ups if Chien-Pao is the faster of the two. Conclusion: Generally, when you play the team, DO NOT switch. This team operates on the base that you trade damage and position yourself offensively, rather than defensively. Sometimes you can go for a clever switch but do not try to get yourself in a favourable position by switching too often. I really like the team and would give it a try if you're new to Regulation I or just want to try something that was not featured yet.

@TerroneVGC @CentroLeaks Yeah so basically two currencies, one free and one paid, both can do the same so you TECHNICALLY can do everything for free BUT paid players have it easier BUT ALSO if you have the games on Switch, its WAY FASTER to just do the changes in the games and then sent them to Champions

Very good compilation of how Pokémon Champions monetization will work. You get VP for free by completing missions (you can’t buy VP) and use it to customize your Pokémon. If you ran out of VP you won’t be able to do it anymore.

Hot take. Pokemon making you pay for stuff in their free to play game if you don't already have it from previous games is fine. I've been playing mons since I was 12 and have everything from older games / will buy new games. (1/?)

The problem is not the time to actually practice, play tournaments and breed your ingame team every now and then, it's the time needed to constantly grind resources one battle per time to do everything if Champions is structured in that way (I hope not).

Maybe this is not the biggest elephant in the room, but did anyone wonder yet if we will have rental teams on Champions?

@GabbySnyder I think that you will still be able to rank up, getting rewards when you do, but not at the end of the season. So, if you want the ribbon you can still reach Master Ball and win a game with that Pokémon.

If you have any desire to Ribbon Quest in Scarlet/Violet in the future make sure to hit Master Ball this month! It will be near impossible in the future (assuming it doesn’t reset on April 1st…)
