Ok, sure. And the 18% Norman, 22% Saxon, 30% Angle, 10% Jute, 20% Britons that are the modern English are not any of the above either. They’re a new thing entirely. It’s perfectly normal and good to want to preserve your people, your culture, your heritage. But the story of humanity is constant change. If you want to make the case that her inputs make a materially worse people than the one that came before, that’s great. You’re probably right. But at the end of the day, it is the inputs that matter. No ethnicity lasts forever. There are no pure-bloods unmixed from the dawn of time.

No, I’m white of Scottish/English stock. But every single people to ever exist has ancestors of different genesis. I have Norman, Angle, Saxon, Jute, and Briton ancestors. Fundamentally what matters is the quality of the inputs. There is no such thing as a pure-blooded race of people.

From the point of view of that specific people, at that specific time, sure. But the modern Mexicans are far better off for the fact that the Aztecs as a distinct people were made extinct, and that Mexico was infused with Iberian DNA. I maintain my position, that it depends on what the inputs are.

The death of ones race, or species/speciation of man, with a foreign one, is always bad, there's no way you can sugar coat it. It's one thing to do amongst ones own kind & ethnic tribal groups belonging to it, but completely illogical to accept amongst another kind. The bleed over would have to be extremely rare & minute, the norm to be shunned & avoided, as was historically so amongst all populations & life, completely unenvaded & destroyed, to swallow & eradicate the damage done from said foreign kinds. To add, none of them are "better", that doesn't even make any sense in the first place, they are not us, & also can't do what we do, or are adapted to our environments, with any of our traits. No amount of even the cope & false narratives about them, made to promote miscgenation, will ever be relevant or make a difference. They don't have our innate qualities or even spirit, aren't physically better than us, especially in what strengths/traits we physically & mentally value & make use of, they are not compatible by the definition of their existence etc. What is created by the version of genocide & death through miscgenation, is an abomination, & again, by definition an even more unadapted, confused being with no roots, & a miss mash of traits, still not our own or "assimilated", that takes time & prolonged pointless damage to reverse & perform. Bleed over is not ideal, "assimilation" is a cruel mercy, cruel to them, cruel to us. It's A, either we both die by ruination, & confusion is birthed in the form of the malformed, that would need countless generations & or extreme effort to undo or improve amongst them, or B, one group survives, dominates & destroys the other, at most with scars to their form, through dilution or adaptation to the conflict at hand. Potentially the only good thing that can come of this.

Whether it’s good or bad depends on the quality of the inputs. Assimilation of an immigrant group is only good for a host nation if the people of that immigrant group are as good or better than the original stock. Such as the Norman invasion of Britain. The Normans were better than the Anglo-Saxons.

@dongwondesnarko @bizlet7 If you were actually fighting with completely weightless swords that would effortlessly cut through anything, combat would look like dancing. The combat would resemble fencing far more than knights wielding claymores.

In the U.S. Civil War, a contingent of Confederates ascribed to a theory called "King Cotton". They believed that New England and European dependence on Southern cotton exports meant that economic ruin would hit New England and that Europe would provide aid to the Confederacy in the war. They found out, that was utterly untrue, and that markets would find new sources.

@IM__PARANOID_ @zerohedge Correct. They're laying the groundwork to frame a cease fire as victory. They must be able to frame an end to the war as victory in order for it to happen. This is good news. Let them think and tell their people whatever they want.

@zerohedge Strong narrative push. Calling it a “golden moment” is about framing resilience—turning survival into victory. But that doesn’t mean objectives weren’t hit; it just shows both sides are selling their version of reality.

A historical fact that people these days don’t know about is that in the 1920s it was en vogue to be an Amerindophile. American Indians were featured prominently and positively throughout pop culture; see the original Hardy Boys. It was extremely popular, especially in the south for White people to proclaim their native ancestry. The noble savage mythos was all the rage.
Everybody is Insane@colorblindk1d

@mattbramanti @EWErickson We had a Native American Vice President, Charles Curtis, who spent his childhood on a reservation. He's been erased from history because he basically thought reservations and Indian nations should be dissolved and fully integrated into America. In hindsight, he was correct.

@europa America did win the Iraq war. The war was not worth the cost paid, we received very little benefit at tremendous cost, but we did win.

@treblewoe People like to imagine the world as an RPG game where everyone gets a fixed stat total that they distribute across different characteristics, but the truth is that the stat total varies wildly, and some people are just plain better than others.

this is a hilarious way to rediscover that better looking people are on average better at everything else too. genetic quality isn't nearly as lumpy as we want to pretend.

The rules with dating are and always have been 1) be attractive 2) don’t be unattractive. If you’re good looking and she likes you, advances in church are welcome. If you’re not good looking and she doesn’t like you, asking her out at church is creepy. Women really aren’t that complicated. Nobody likes uncomfortable situations. Being asked out by a guy she doesn’t like forces her into an uncomfortable situation where she has to have the awkward conversation. I can’t believe that there are men and women who don’t know this stuff.

Guys don't listen to her. The single ladies I know are looking for good Catholic men. Say hello and ask her out. Unless of course she's wearing a habit. Don't ask nuns out.

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

Markets always clear in the long run. Equilibrium is found. Labor shortages tend to only last as long as it takes to be trained in a job. Trades with a 1-2 period ramp will not have a real endemic labor shortage. They’ll have a shortage of people willing to work at below market prices.
Alpaca Capital@Alpaca_Capital

How much does it pay? Genuinely asking. My experience from the US (where I grew up) is people pound the table about skills shortages and when you ask what they’re paying, it’s equivalent to working at Walmart in a no-skill job.
