Anti-Jewish incidents reached their highest year on record in 2023, with a 63% increase over the last year. Anti-Muslim incidents increased 49%. Anti-Arab incidents hit their highest level since the category was added in 2015. Anti-LGBTQ hate crimes also reached an all-time high. Anti-transgender hate crimes increased 5% from the previous year. Anti-white bias hate crimes do exist in the data, but they represent a small fraction compared to the groups above. The claim that 90% of hate speech targets white people has no basis in any credible dataset.
