This past week has been rough trying to get back into work and being a normal functioning human after the holidays. I feel like I deal with this more and more as I get older. 🙃
@lettier Man I'm still trying to recreate some of your procedural materials from way back with that orange you did and that barbershop pole. I feel like I'm getting close to those circles but it's been a sec since I've been in it. Would hate to see you go 😭
We’re cooking up something new. That’s all we can say for now...
Drop a comment and retweet if this has you hyped —
And on reveal day, we’re sending out an Inspiroy 2 S to someone in the replies.
@cmzw_ Been battling with a similar parallax fight for like two weeks now, is it possible to do something like this on a sphere to emulate how a marble sometimes has that bit of smokey color inside?
Sorry for the oddball q, you've been killing it w parallax stuff and figured I'd shoot
@ThatNgonGuy It's so wild to me how rowdy the responses you get are when all you're doing is just showing off a rad thing you can do with topology.
It's like "Hey check out what you can do with a paint roller" and all the guys with paint brushes are like "what the fuck are you doing"
The entire goal of my account is to provide information.
I try very hard not to shame people for using workflows that they're comfortable with, but I do very much like to show people how to problem solve and that there's always more than one way to model.
@mirrutatep Talked with a friend recently about how even negative comments are still engagement. Had a guy calling me an amateur and being confidently incorrect about some 3D stuff, which caused a flood of people calling them out. Algo suddenly picked it up and it got a bunch of views lol
Having posted my art online for almost 7 years now I have endured plenty of criticism and harassment and it hasn’t stopped me from sharing my creations…

@RyanLykos Ay! Yeah I know Pierrick's YT channel well 🤣Will have to finally pull the trigger on his course then and put it on the ol' Christmas list. Thanks so much for the rec and reply! 💙
@Tfriedel217 Thanks!
I highly recommend Pierrick Picaut's "The Art Of Effective Rigging 2" for those looking to learn. It's a fantastic resource for beginners and seasoned riggers, and it's the course i took for learning the subject 😄
Don't be afraid to start over!😅
I wasn't happy with my arm correctives, so I completely reworked them...
It definitely looks and feels more natural now compared to how it was before. I will probably see what I can do to improve the thigh corrective next

@bobacupcake I've been meaning to go hunting for all of this stuff explained so my little mathy brain can fully digest it and voila, the prayers have been answered. Thanks so much for this bomb resource 💙Pls accept my follow as thanks!

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you're sacrificing UV shell padding in favor of texel density, you're doing it wrong.
Texel density is important, sure. But don't chase a higher space utilization by reducing the 32px padding on a 4k map. That padding IS utilization.
