Yeah, I voted for Trump but I never thought he’d be so foolish to actually move forward with 25% tariffs given the well-documented history of how the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930 triggered the onset of the Great Depression as global trade flows dried up.

@ThadJuggernuts It is completely possible we have a drag on the economy for a bit but Mexico and Canada are really going to feel it in a big way which is the point. China is already working to establish a better trade deal to reduce tariffs. This is how it works.

BREAKING: Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly has confirmed that Canada will implement retaliatory tariffs against the United States. Tariffs will soon be placed on U.S. exports, including orange juice, peanut butter, wine, coffee, cars, trucks, steel, and aluminum.
