Why I think Black Unity Is So Hard – A Difficult But Necessary Conversation 🧵 1/14 When I joined this app one of the things I realised was how divided and sometimes toxic it can be when it comes to these topics, I hope with this thread I can offer of my views on this issue

The way Jay ignores Dame and 50's existence no matter what they say should be a Curriculum in School's everywhere, that's how you combat attention seekers, don't give them what they want

Trevor Noah used to mock Malema’s accent & rhetoric on The Daily Show, deliberately taking his clips out of context & comparing him to Trump? That same Trevor now saying ‘Malema is loved’ His jokes gave ammo to those pushing the ‘white genocide’ thing in SA.
In A Nutshell🥜@Markosonke1

Watch till the end… then you’ll understand why Malema commands so much attention globally 🌍🔥 Love him or disagree with him, one thing is undeniable — he speaks in a way that sparks conversation, challenges perspectives, and resonates far beyond South Africa. There’s a reason his words travel, trend, and get people talking across borders. Don’t rush it… watch till the end 👀👇🏾

@MereMortalM @naledimashishi Fair that’s a consistent position if you believe killing sentient animals for food is always wrong when alternatives exist. But does ‘caring about wellbeing’ also account for the billions of sentient creatures like rodents, insects & birds killed in large scale crop production?

@naledimashishi Fair point on direct vs incidental killing. But large scale crop farming still kills billions of sentient animals yearly. Some pasture based meat causes fewer overall deaths. If it’s ‘can’t love them and eat them that’s consistent but applies unevenly. Where do you draw the line?

@ThandoZ_Amon I think the point is harm reduction. The animals that are killed in those instances are killed incidentally. You could eat potatoes without killing a rat. You can’t have a beef burger without killing a cow

@naledimashishi -animals one rooted in our unique capacities for reason, culture, and reciprocity while still supporting high welfare standards and opposing cruelty, in my opinion that’s more consistent with how humans have sustained themselves for such a long time

@naledimashishi direct/indirect deaths of many animals, the difference in scale and visibility doesn’t erase the moral tension if the core objection is the act of killing sentient life itself. I like to believe that many of us who eat meat including you see a moral distinction between humans and

@njaps12 True but to be fair those problems could still occur even if he chose a different path as for Endrick I understand his situation he was forced to grow up, being a breadwinner at home at 15 so football became a job very quickly
