@Foundry25 @wesbury ERC-8004 solves Identity, not Capital ETH has a Middle Child problem, too slow for Agent flow vs. SOL, weaker collateral vs. BTC Re: HODL that’s an L1 constraint. On Lightning, BTC is high-velocity Agents will use ETH for Registry, SOL for Action, BTC for Treasury IMO

Interesting take. What’s your sense of Eth in this economy? The release of ERC-8004 is a play in this direction. I agree BTC is pristine money however it has a particular narrative which informs its incentives and that is to HODL as a store of value. I don’t think micro units of it are efficiently tradable in the machine economy. Curious to hear your thoughts.

My take on Bitcoin $BTC It’s a fantastic invention. An alternative payment system plus a limited supply. If BTC became our money 21 million divided into a $30 trillion GDP means each BTC would be worth ~$1.5 million and Saylor would control 3% of our GDP without creating anything. However, this will never happen. Govt will never let BTC be our money. People wanted gold to be our money and it’s not. Why, because you can’t do QE with gold. It lashes you to a standard. So does BTC. BTC does provide an alternative payment system, but if that’s all it is why do I care what it’s worth? If I need to send someone $5,000 and BTC is $50,000, I need 0.1 BTC. If BTC is $1,000 then I need 5 BTC. So who knows what the supply and demand for alternative transactions will set the price at? All I know is it won’t be $1.5 million and I highly doubt it will fall below 1 cent. Someone could corner the market. And, finally, if BTC isn’t our money, and all it does is provide a blockchain-based alternative transaction method, there are cheaper alternatives coming into play right now. Stable coins can do the same thing, but, apparently, cheaper. I think there is more downside to $BTC.

@Foundry25 @wesbury I favor a Hybrid model. specialized networks abstracted by an aggregator. But ultimately, Bitcoin is the base layer of capital. High-velocity rails (like SOL/MINT) handle the flow, but net value settles in BTC. It is the pristine collateral of the Machine Economy.

Exactly, bots can't open bank accounts; they need private keys and native rails for true autonomy. Crypto becomes the currency of the machine economy because it's programmable, borderless, and trust minimized. $MINT is built for that: verifiable output mints fungible units machines earn/spend natively, with settlements on Solana. Aligns perfectly with agents as economic actors. What's your take on standardizing work units across types?

@wesbury AI Agents will be massive economic actors, but a bot can't open a JP Morgan bank account. It can only hold a private key. Crypto provides the payment rails and property rights for AI. It isn’t just "internet money" it is the native currency of the Machine Economy.

@wesbury This is a category error: you're valuing a Store of Value (Gold) using payment metrics (Visa). We don't value Gold ($14T) by transaction volume. Stablecoins are for velocity (spending); BTC is for scarcity (saving). You spend the weak currency and hoard the hard asset.

@LukeGromen The Treasury is effectively hiding duration supply in T-Bills to keep yields optically low. When the RRP runs dry and forces them back into long bonds, what is the specific 'failure signal'? Is it RRP hitting absolute $0, or does a 10Y yield >5.5% break the system first?

10y UST yields rising 7bp Friday on "hawkish Warsh" headlines is a critical signpost IMO. 10y yields up when Fed is both "dovish" AND "hawkish" is a sign the debt needs to be devalued. Gold seems to have begun discounting that eventuality (& is a potential means of doing so.)

Polymarket users giving Clarity Act an 80% chance of being signed into law this year. The Clarity Act cleared the House last year & is working its way through the Senate with markups expected this week. Key sticking points are stablecoins (yield) & DeFi (developer protections).

For decades, the structure of US society, by intent and design, was remade to redistribute wealth, resources, property and opportunity from Americans to non-Americans. These looted assets were then used to finance the Democrat Party and all its subsidiary schemes and structures.

Bitcoin is now down 43% priced in gold. A liquidity crisis is developing in crypto and spreading to other assets, including precious-metals mining stocks. Sell Bitcoin and crypto-related equities before they go much lower, and buy the dip in the miners before they go much higher!

Trump is welcoming MBS, the Saudi crown prince, to the White House. This is the dictator who had a U.S. columnist murdered for criticizing the Saudi royal family. Sadly, we have a president who prefers the Saudi model — an autocracy run by a trillionaire family — to democracy.

When Trump directs the Justice Department to prosecute only Democrats who were connected to Epstein, he creates two huge problems. First, that's not America. The problem isn't prosecuting Democrats, it's not prosecuting some predators just because they are Republicans! Second, targeting people based on politics will give them an easy defense. He's almost handing get out of jail free cards - ironically, to powerful Democrats! It'll make prosecutions much, much harder because the president said that he was targeting only his political opponents. It's a defense attorney's dream. This hurts the cause of justice.
