I still don’t see the Browns trading Myles Garrett anytime soon. But as @Jason_OTC says here, this gives the team “maximum flexibility” to do so if it ever made sense and Garrett agreed to it. Long-term flexibility for the team here, not much short term cap gain.

@HolderStephen The issue is we only have a cumulative season of competent play for jones. He had a good season the year the Giants were a playoff team, a contract year no less. Then proceeded to be hurt and play awful. History shows he hasn't done enough to warrant being considered a MUST sign

@HolderStephen The entire line has been bad today, but goncalves in particular NEEDS to improve in pass pro. He is the clear weak link on the line. Big + in the run game, but he is an absolute liability when the defense knows the offense has to pass.
