We just finished an incredible meeting with Dr. Robert Timmerman as part of rasident fellows grand round at @MDAndersonNews Two minutes of pure inspiration that will stay with me for a lifetime. He said: “If you think your job is to contour, you can easily be replaced by AI. Your real role is to see patients, think about patients, and solve patients’ problems. @ThatDamDoc To my knowledge you can’t yet. Unless that pipeline has been opened. If you’ve not checked your student aid dot gov account, may be worth a check. 12/15 was supposed to be about when PAYE becomes available.

🔔 Physicians - what you need to know about student loans 🔔 PSLF is not at risk. 20/25 year IDR forgiveness might be gone for new borrowers. IBR is not at risk. SAVE will be gone. PAYE and ICR might be gone. Parent PLUS and Grad PLUS loans might be gone. Subsidy for unpaid interest may be preserved. Overall this is not looking terrible for the far majority of physicians. The loss of Grad PLUS loans would be an issue.
