The 2000 remake of "Gone in 60 Seconds" is a perfect example of what they took from us. Nicolas Cage is a hot-shot car thief who commands respect. His mom loves him. His brother loves him. Even the cops on his trail admire him. Angelina Jolie is the ONE female lead and she loves the hero too. The late Robert Duvall plays his mentor and loves him too. When his brother’s life is threatened, he assembles a team of elite badasses who must steal 50 cars in a single night. 97% of the cast is male. All the manly virtues are on display—redemption, loyalty, courage, honor. Epic car chases and explosions dominate the screen. No girlbosses interfere with the story. All the men survive EXCEPT the bad guy. And here's the important part: IT'S FUN. It’s a simple formula that pleased blockbuster audiences for decades. Why do they keep breaking it?

No way. When you walk up and see the Green Monster it is a unique experience. Not everything needs to be a modern luxury. There is a charm to the place especially given all the history there.

Hey @Target in Swansea Massachusetts: I have tolerated the disheveled displays, trash around the store and lack of open registers but letting these plants dry up and die is really bothering me. I took a gallon of water off your shelf and took care of these but please make sure someone waters them again tomorrow. Thank you. P.S: if you can't afford to staff your stores, close some. I would happily drive further if I knew the store was clean and there were employees around. These stores are dumps.

The Druski skit situation is funny to me. The skit is hilarious. People being offended need to grow up. BUT everyone defending the skit also needs to keep this same energy about aaalllllllll comedy. Don’t go crying next time a bit upsets you personally. If jokes shake you to your soul SO deeply, consider that you may be an emotionally underdeveloped human, not fit for this life. The world needs comedy ❤️

Walt Disney World’s Golf Resort started as a 1971 clubhouse with zero guest rooms. When the Magnolia and Palm courses opened with Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971, the two-story wood-and-volcanic-rock building in the middle of the courses was only a country-club-style pro shop and lounge. Guest wings were bolted on in Phase 2 and the full 151-room Golf Resort didn’t debut until December 15, 1973, making it Disney’s official third on-property hotel. Kids met Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs right there in the restaurant while parents enjoyed the view of the Magnolia course. With no monorail loop and a reputation as the “golfers-only” hotel, the resort averaged just 60–75% occupancy while the Contemporary and Polynesian hovered near 100%. Disney execs loved it for the quiet; many kept it as their personal low-key getaway. The resort was renamed The Disney Inn in February 1986 to attract a larger demographic beyond golfers. I lost hundreds of followers and my replies and DMs were filled with accusations of being a “sellout,” a “grifter,” a “scammer,” and a “Jew.” I want to introduce myself and my case a little bit. I have worked on this project for several years, and each and every week I put 20-30 hours of work into this project. I make almost nothing - from X revenue sharing, I can usually expect less than $100/month, and from Patreon, another $75. I’m really passionate about this project and I want to continue it as a hobby while balancing my real job and my real life, but that’s difficult when I’m bringing in almost nothing from it, so that’s why I decided to run ads. Many creators on YouTube thank their sponsors. They spend many minutes of video time doing so. Many Instagram posts are devoted wholly to sponsored content. But when a post of mine on X featured sponsored content, many of you felt that was intolerable and lashed out in extreme ways. A concern some of you expressed in DMs was that posting sponsored content is a “slippery slope” that inevitably leads to “selling the account” or “making every post sponsored.” I want to reassure you all that this account is my life’s passion and I will continue doing it until the day I die. But I have to make a living as well. I have run sponsored content in the past; I am running sponsored content in the present. I am not sure why that act merits anger, if it’s only one post a day and it’s one reply that you can disregard easily.
