@ThrillaRilla369 Very true. Child support is supposed to be for support of the CHILD, and while every state has multiple mechanisms to force and track payment of child support, almost no states put any effort at all into tracking where that money goes and what it is being spent on once paid.

This will anger a lot of people but child support should be put on a card where both parents can track where the money is going and what the money is being spent on .

@MrWhiteMAGA @TheLizVariant This particular teen had multiple prior felony convictions, one of them for AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A FIREARM, and he was still let back out on the street over and over again.
This wasn’t “tough”, it was “the system finally correcting itself.”

The teen thought it was just “a little trouble.”
The judge pulled out a list and started going line by line like a checklist…every law, every mistake. Calm, precise, no emotion. Then came the sentence…tough, fair, and final. The family was silent no more as they yelled out.
Lesson delivered.

I was an Army colonel.
I would have traded it all to be a First Sergeant of a Company in the 82nd.
People may view being an officer as being more prestigious, but it is my belief that being a senior NCO is far more satisfying given how closely you lead soldiers.

@SydneyLWatson I start with a mental list and game plan, but things never seem to go according to what I envision. As the old Army adage says, “no plan ever survives first contact”.

@DailyLoud @angelsboo247 BTW…this particular teen had multiple prior felonies to include aggravated assault with a firearm, and he did indeed use a firearm in this robbery (10 year federal firearm rider applies in sentencing).
25 years was an exceptionally LIGHT sentence under Texas guidelines.
