I am so proud to know Alison, the mummy of the gorgeous and brave Dylan James. She is one extraordinary lady. Do watch their story tonight, on Channel 4 and support Stand Up To Cancer. ⁦⁦⁦@SU2CUK⁩ ⁦@SU2C⁩ ⁦@SKC_UK

A lovely quote for children across the world from a 14 year old Princess Elizabeth, in October 1940: “And when peace comes, remember it will be for us, the children of today, to make the world of tomorrow a better and happier place”.

The bee in my feedback bonnet is that it should extend learning through reference to learning intention and planned opportunity for active engagement from the pupil (not ‘remember to’), whilst not being an onerous workload for teachers. This guide does it all in 6 steps.

As the time for writing moderation looms (or not) I thought I'd share this short guide to greater depth writing. The idea that you can't teach greater depth writing is confused with the fact that you can't teach it to everyone. You can teach it. But two things are essential. (1)
