Hotpatch and Autopatch just don't seem to work. Second month in a row where I tell it to 'restart tonight' and 15 minutes later it forces it. @ariaupdated #MSIntune

@steve_noel @PJ_Marcum I wouldn't necessarily be suggesting workarounds. I'd be suggesting people work differently, which won't go down well in their home subreddit.
I can reach desired outcomes with Intune.

@UK_Daniel_Card Plus, Defender AV component in consumer is the exact same protection as you get in P2 anyway. Onboarding at P1 level just tells logs to go into your portal, while P2 gives EDR.
I'd agree to say you aren't "managing" Defender, but the core, default offering, is fairly adequate.

there's so much that defender catches and so many things that matter probably more in a corporate network than antivirus.....
I can do a demo of this.... I don't need SCCM, I have DSCM/PWH (or just local group and/or regedit)
I don't 'need' EDR I have Windows audit lotgs.....
I've got windows firewall, you aint getting past that unless I'm a knob with the cofig.
(this is not what I would do, this setup is overly high from an admin overhead pov for a company with any number of staff but the point stands)

It's the big event for Microsoft endpoint management and security in the EU. Has significant buy-in from MS and you'll usually see around 25+ senior PMs show up.

Im so tired of hearing about "sophisticated" attacks that have step by step walk through in at least 10 public blogposts on the first 5 pages of google results. Solarwinds was sophisticated. Device Code Phishing, Illicit Consents, and AITM are not sophisticated. They're low skilled commodity attacks. All you have to do is read M$ Docs to figure out how to do them. Theres hundreds of public blog posts now to hold everyone's hands too.
