Orlando had interest in Jason Kidd in the summer of 2021 when he took the Dallas job and the Magic last had a coaching vacancy.
TBD whether the Magic, who are known to be seeking a coach with experience, pursue him again.

Dallas has made the sixth coaching change since the 2025-26 NBA regular season ended. Milwaukee (Taylor Jenkins) and New Orleans (Jamahl Mosley) have made their hires. The Mavericks join Chicago, Orlando and Portland on the list of teams with vacancies.
