As an experienced PsychNP and LCSW, I call bullshit. Gender Identity D/O is no longer in the DSM and is not considered a “deviation.” You are operating under a significant bias that’s putting your patients in danger. Stop meeting with trans patients.

As an experienced Family Therapist I’ve always say: it is basically impossible to suffer from any sexual deviation coming from mentally healthy and loving parents, which sadly, are only a few. Every single paraphilia can be explained from mentally unhealthy parenting and family members. We are like “printers” everything you create in the computer will come out on the printer. You can’t correct the printed document without fixing what you did in the computer first 🤷🏻‍♂️😬🥴
