The American Left must study both Mao Tse-tung Thought, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Both are critical for the urban and rural worker and building socialism in an industrialized America.

You don't just accidentally kill 30-45 million people. Communists gaslighting and delegitimatizing genocide from communist Governments of the past and those of current regimes is just as bad as Neo-Nazis denying the Holocaust or like Pratt is doing here, using a strawman to try to make Nazis sound less worse than commies ???? The fact you would freely use "accidental" here is shocking. Tankies are something else man. This kind of gaslighting makes it really hard to build a movement towards Democratic Socialism. Which in my view is one reason why we have to dissociate ourselves away from rhetoric like this. If you're a commie but also anti-authoritarian, cool! Start criticizing former regimes, it would be a great start! So no, me saying this doesn't make me anti-socialist. It's just calling out hypocrisy for what it is. This post admits that a regime committed genocide. Many communists simply call you a fed, or say you're believing CIA propaganda, or blame the US government (which in some cases is very much appropriate, Cuba is one of those cases where you can blame the US Government for the heavy embargo's.) If we don't combat this stuff it makes it easier for the GOP to try to push red scare bs against Democratic socialists. We have to put a red line in the sand as Bernie has in the past and say, no we are not communists who like communist dictators. Bernie has criticized communist dictators in the past for a good reason.

The Sandinistas have been terrorizing us for more than 30 years, including my own family who had to flee Nicaragua because my grandfather served the military of the opposing party & was being politically prosecuted.

@RabbiGroyper1 Nicaragua isn’t a dictatorship. The US is, though. True dictatorship is when the oligarchy suppresses the people; the workers of that country. Here in the US we as workers are suffocated by the right wing conservative oligarchy. Nicaragua, this is not the case.
