@prisma_clr I never thought about it but yeah Dawntrail didn't really have that many voiced cutscenes in general and apparently 7.5 was the most voiced cutscenes in the entire post patch updates for the game

@ThatSquiddyKid Yeah I'm with you. We should have seen Halmarut and Calyx much earlier. Maybe even 6.X. We should have known vaguely about the Solstice, too.

@SamHam803 Exactly and I have heard she has less presence now in recent patches after 7.3 because her time is pretty much up but even still she didn't need to be EVERYWHERE "Speak To Wuk Lamat" "Speak to Wuk Lamat again" bro I would rather prey return to the waking sands over this

@ThatSquiddyKid Recently playing through stormblood again and though lyse has some issues she still gives the other cast time to breath and have their own time without injecting herself in. Wuk Lumat had to be involved in everything and it just killed the mood in some scenes as it was so forced

@gmElezen I suppose what you said is all true yeah idk I just don't think the story as a whole in DT felt very well executed and I shouldn't really have to wait until like. Living Memory for the story to suddenly start being good/interesting (IMO)

@ThatSquiddyKid We could have been the Louisoix of DT to WL's Warrior of Light. But what we were mostly felt unfocused, too passive, and confused.

@gmElezen And as a result it makes the expansion less a Segway into the current arc barring recent developments and more of a filler episode which it is for the first half let's not kid ourselves

@gmElezen See I dropped the game once 7.2 came out because before we knew of Evercold I did not like the direction we were headed or rather the uncertainty behind it. But to quote JesseCox we are the strongest mfs in universe but DT was NOT our story despite that

I'm just yapping atp but genuinely I really hope with Evercold, whoever is gonna be THE token important character isn't on the same level as Wuk Lamat and to people who like her It's ok to like her or not but I do not condone any form of harassment to people who do.

I do think there needs to be a perfect balance with how much a character has an on screen presence because characters like Lyse, Aymeric or Ryne for example despite being important have that perfect balance of screentime, I swear Wuk took up MOST of it in DT
