I'm hoping that @ThatsHowYouPOD just goes into a 20 minute dramatic theater read in the middle of the episode this week.

@smargenna We also didn’t get deep enough into the why it makes sense for Rizo, too — if he told his OG tribe that he and Savannah weren’t close, it feels awkward to now say “actually we were besties”. So that part makes sense even if a kind of funny/awkward moment.

@ThatsHowYouPOD Great episode! I also had the same exact thought, that they kinda edited the narrative between Charlie and Rizo.

@mattcapece @lordtupperware …my antennae would certainly be up if someone insisted on being on majority, but also delicate to say “why don’t you got on the minority” without implying you don’t trust someone. Without seeing that convo I’m hoping for Andy’s sake he didn’t suggest placement, but got lucky.

@mattcapece @lordtupperware Agreed on that! Letting Italy work when there were so many ways to stop it gives credence to the Underdog Nomenclature. Even though I think R and C both shown themselves to be good players. Having not been on island I imagine it’s delicate to negotiate who is where on a vote…

@rodDiazTwine You can believe in a premise and not believe it occurs every time. I believe in democracy but don’t agree with every choice my electorate makes. The principle can be right with an errant result. All winners are legitimate, but not necessarily the best player that season.

@lordtupperware The last straw was when both Liz and Ben in the final 4 thought Liz was playing a blinder of a game.

@mat_glaser I do think Jeff/producers like innovation, so they are okay with some line-crossing the first time, and then draw the line firmly. But they like rewarding creativity/thinking outside the box, so they give one the first time. Choosing good TV over maximum game fairness.

I would’ve voted for Charlie, but still find Kenzie a worthy winner. I also agree that the Jury’s vote is always legitimate, but that doesn’t mean it’s “correct”. You can be a legit winner of an NBA game where the refs makes a “wrong” game-deciding call. It’s part of the game.

@mat_glaser Generally fine with some level of coordination — surprised it was Kenzie’s board (it was, right?). Would have thought Liz could give verbal help/counting but not touch Kenzie’s stuff. Certainly physically touching puzzle pieces feels over the line.
