@ShannonODKOMO What was fascinating was the demarcation line between rain and snow. Drove from my house northeast of Lake Tapps just south several miles to Bonney Lake at a slightly higher elevation there was no snow and it was mostly rain. Back to my house we had almost an inch.

Our Friday the 13th snow goes on this afternoon, centered on the Central Sound as it clears in the north & rains to the south. Downtown Seattle at sea level is just rainy and cool, but snow continues to fall and stick on grassy surfaces in the hills, especially those above 400'.

3 PM and still coming down NE Lake Tapps. I thoroughly expected it to turn to rain by 10 AM and be gone. 1.55 inches of rain since midnight, had temps been a few degrees colder this would've been epic!! @NWSSeattle

@Brody_wx 11+ hours of 70mph+ gusts for parts of Long Island. While there is moderate to heavy snow going on that entire time. That is insane. I kind of want to get an Airbnb and get stuck out there for a few days 😂

The 18z HRRR presents quite a worrying scenario with widespread, significant snowfall totals (perhaps on the order of ~2ft+) & widespread windgusts 50-60mph+. Stay tuned to local forecasts - blizzard warnings are now expanding further inland.
