Nor has anyone ever asked for it to be an "official" song, or that it replace the US National Anthem. I honestly don't get the outrage. It's a lovely song, written by a Republican, expressing things that speak to all of us, but especially to Blacks. And the NFL introduced it strictly by it's title, not as an "anthem", just as they did America the Beautiful before it.
