The sociopolitical fabric & moral asset of the Ethiopian society suffers deeply from the failure of ETH's education system, which mainly arises from inefficiency. Majority of teachers nationwide recently failed the @fdremoe competency assessments. @EthzemaLeader @AbiyAhmedAli

The US recently imposed 'sanctions' on Cambodia which is considered 'too friendly' with China. In the 1960s/70s the US dropped more bombs on Cambodia than during all of WW2. According to one study, 750,000 people were killed. No reparations were ever paid.

A full moon produces a moon rainbow over the magnificent Mosi-oa-Tunya waterfall, Earth's great wonder on the Zambezi river between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Keeping development and lights away is a constant challenge to preserve this amazing natural spectacle.

Those of you who see the dishonesty of MSM’s Ukraine/Russia propaganda “news.” Please apply the same level of scrutiny to reports on conflicts/issues in Africa. Same tactics but more ppl are blind to the intentional stereotyping of Africa issues. #BreakTheSilence #nomore

Margaret Brennan of CBS admits that Zelensky's "team" handed her some photos/videos, and she's now going to broadcast them on TV with zero independent corroboration. Just openly purveying a foreign country's war propaganda. This is what's considered Real Journalism™ in the US

I respect the racism though. If even in a war you have the energy to separate based on race I respect that level of commitment. It's the level of work ethic I aspire to. Bless.

All of this blather asking how could such violent events be visited upon civilized Europe. To think how much mental energy it must take to suppress memory of the fact that Europe has repeatedly been the scene of the greatest barbarity in last century.

This is my last day on twitter. I am so grateful for the PanAfrican friends I have interacted along the way. The challenges our countries are collectively facing, start from the horn all the way through the Sahel and down to the cape are immense. Us the children of Africa 1/2

This is amazing! This court document 👇 shows #Ethiopia & #Liberia suing the Gov't of South Africa for its practice of apartheid at the ICJ in 1960. The court was equally divided & the president of the court cast the decisive vote against the claim. #panafricanism #NoMore

@Qnie_Addis @martinplaut @MaEllenSirleaf jusmundi.com/en/document/de…. In 1960, Ethiopia and Liberia challenged apartheid SA at the International CC! To the astonishment of truth, the court decided the two countries dont have any mandate to sue the apartheid SA! Read the link!

The silence of the international human rights community in failing to ring alarm bells on these horrific crimes—as they managed to do in #Tigray, despite the media blackout—speaks volumes about the politicization of human rights.

Burundi beauty. One of my favourite African waterfalls. As artistically arranged as a sculpture, in a lush green setting, with water like diaphanous veils. The sound is musical: as water strikes rock from different levels creating different but harmonious sounds. At Karera.

Stunnings peaks, splendid valley. Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest peak but Africa's largest continuously high area is the Ethiopian Highlands. The "Roof of Africa" gave birth to coffee cultivation. From these fertile fields coffee was first exported, to the Arabian peninsula.
