2 months later, stocks keep struggling and it's become worrying for the mid term. The pattern is looking more and more similar to the crash in early 2025, but not as extended, so the index could still push and either extend the underlying weakness or invalidate it.
However, the month has just started and Jan eventually ended green.
Metals running and stocks dropping make $BTC struggle, hence the best-case scenario of a bottom formation that would take time IMO, as suggested by XAUBTC, which I shared here recently.
This clearly shows that BTC is still treated as a tech proxy 5 years later.
I would take notes for when people eventually screams BTC is redifining whatever.

We need to talk about stocks. I have only quickly checked $SPX, but we might be seeing early signs of a top brewing, always in HTF. This might take a few months to play out if we consider how previous tops have played out. For now, this might just be a small weekly bearish div that could resolve here or extend into a prolonged one that eventually triggers a monthly bearish div or at least sustained exhaustion that leads to a rollover. It is not surprising, but it aligns with a final move pending that could still take some time. As I said, just early signs, so they can be invalidated easily.

Saying billions of dollars of $GLD and $SLV were wiped out last week is not entirely accurate. More accurate: investment banks bought gold and silver at the lows, used algos to drive up price, squeezed shorts to drive up price more, and distributed shares to retail. Much more accurate.

I've been in the crypto/alt space since 2011+.
A few things i have learned.
1. Leveraged traders will lose their entire account and quit for good.
2. Retail hodlers who don't pay attention to everyday price action will far outperform experienced traders. This is because Retail traders are blissfully ignorant and hold through hype, while experienced traders have been burnt many times and will be scared to hold through an entire cycle, so they will secure some profit and keep a process that gets them steady gains. They will never achieve wealth. Few day traders do, they are 9 to 5rs.
3. The same retail hodlers who held on through the entire cycle to become millionaires will lose all of their unrealized profits at the end and roundtrip into the next cycle. They will tell themselves they will never do it again. BUT THEY WILL DO IT AGAIN, because they will follow their favorite influencer.
4. The alt super cycle is not even close to beginning yet. It will be a super cycle. We have not had a super cycle for many many years. When it happens in the next couple of years, huge moves will happen right at the beginning of it and then chasing will start after multi hundred percent moves have already begun.

Remember that The entire Market is driven by 3 ingredients. Volume , Price, and Time. By using indicators like macd or rsi, you gave 1/3rd of the pie away- the most CRITICAL part of the Pie. Volume leads price. Volume should never be looked at in a local moment alone. It should be segregated across the largest distance in bars to discover Price Action in history. You will often see me poke fun at macd guys, because by the time anything happens that can be compared to, it already happened. The market baked it in. Macd has no volume and it can often embed for long durations. Most never bother to use Replay mode to discover that and let it sink in.

I remember talking to Aaron Rodgers in the locker room toward the end of his tenure with the #Jets. Mentioned “wherever Mike McCarthy ends up” as a potential landing spot. Sure sounds like McCarthy is headed to the #Steelers. Wonder if that gets Rodgers back for another year.
