Today in Parliament, when Amit Shah made baseless and politically motivated allegations against Leader of Opposition Sh Rahul Gandhi, we — Congress MPs — stood up to oppose it. But as usual, the Speaker refused to give us the mic. 👉 Is this how democracy functions? 👉 One side gets to आरोप लगाओ, and the other is not even allowed to respond? This is not just about one statement — this is about systematically silencing the Opposition inside Parliament. If the government is so confident about its claims, why are they afraid of a जवाब? Parliament is meant for debate, not one-sided propaganda. You can mute the mic, but you cannot silence the truth.
IANS@ians_india

Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah says, " Now I want to speak about their leader, Rahul Gandhi. During his long political career, Rahul Gandhi has been seen multiple times with Naxalites and their cadres. During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, several frontal Naxal organizations participated. There is a record of this... In 2018, in Hyderabad, he met Gummadi Vittal Rao, also known as Gaddar, whose ideology is closely aligned with Naxalism... When HIDMA was killed, 172 soldiers lost their lives. At India Gate, slogans were raised: 'Kitne HIDMA maaroge, har ghar se HIDMA niklega' A video of this was personally tweeted by Rahul Gandhi. How can one escape from this?... The people of this country will have to respond to this in elections. This issue will not stop here..."

@INCIndia

The FCRA bill gives a decisive advantage to the RSS in accessing funding, while leaving charitable and other community welfare organisations at the mercy of the central government. This stands in stark contrast to the UDF’s people-centric approach. UDF works for the people, while LDF and BJP work only for their own organisational interests.

Iran has asked for guarantees in any deal with US. Word is that Pakistan Foreign Minister is going to Beijing to get a guarantor for the potential deal. Likely that is Iran’s condition for talks with US. And FM would not be going to China without having floated the idea with both Washington and Beijing. No guarantees of China biting but Beijing is now the frontline in the diplomatic effort

As Trump escalates his rhetoric, threatening to obliterate Iran’s infrastructure, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister is heading to Beijing. That could prove to be a bigger indicator of where this conflict is heading.

Pakistan is the rare country that has warm ties w/US & Iran but also the GCC states, Turkey & China. Heck, its ties w/Russia are good too. This may not bring piece to the Mideast, but it gives Pakistan diplomatic alignments that line up well to position itself as a facilitator.

BREAKING: In 1971, a Pakistani aircraft carried Henry Kissinger secretly from Islamabad to Beijing, and the flight that nobody saw rewired the entire Cold War. Tomorrow, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar flies the same route for the same reason: to broker a superpower realignment through the only country trusted by both sides of a war reshaping the global order. Here is what has unfolded in 96 hours. On Saturday, Islamabad hosted foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt for a quadrilateral summit on the Iran war. After the meeting, Dar confirmed that both the United States and Iran have expressed their “confidence” in Pakistan to facilitate talks. All four foreign ministers endorsed Pakistan hosting direct or indirect US-Iran negotiations. On Thursday, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi told Dar that China “appreciates Pakistan’s untiring efforts” and “supports Pakistan in continuing to play a mediating role.” Wang stated that dialogue is the only way to “help restore normal navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.” That last phrase is the tell. China is not expressing abstract support for peace. It is naming the specific commercial outcome it requires: Hormuz open, oil flowing, supply chains reconnected. Tomorrow Dar arrives in Beijing to secure explicit backing for Islamabad as the venue. Consider the structural position. Pakistan delivered the US 15-point peace plan to Iran. Pakistan maintains its “all-weather” partnership with China, reaffirmed by Wang Yi in January. Pakistan signed a mutual defence agreement with Saudi Arabia in September 2025. Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir lunched with Trump at the White House. Sharif spoke to Iran’s President Pezeshkian for over an hour on Saturday. No other country on Earth has live, trusted channels to Washington, Tehran, Beijing, and Riyadh simultaneously. The last country that occupied this structural position was Pakistan itself, in 1971, when it carried Kissinger secretly to Mao. The variable every analyst is missing is what China actually needs. China imports roughly 1.5 million barrels per day of Iranian crude. China controls 90 percent of rare earth processing and 99 percent of gallium. The United States needs rare earths for defence, semiconductors, and energy transition. The geometry of a grand bargain, in which oil access for China is traded against rare earth supply security for the United States, with Hormuz reopened and Kharg Island accessed through negotiation rather than seizure, runs directly through Islamabad. Not because Pakistan chose this role. Because Pakistan is the only node connected to all four principals. This is not prediction. It is structural observation. Dar in Beijing tomorrow. April 6 Trump deadline in seven days. Kharg Island fortified but un-raided. Polymarket pricing 68 percent boots by April 30. The window between mediated resolution and military escalation is exactly seven days wide, and the country standing in the doorway is the one that stood there 55 years ago when the last superpower realignment was brokered. Whether Pakistan succeeds or fails, the attempt is historically significant. A nuclear-armed nation of 240 million people, balancing simultaneous alliances with the United States, China, Saudi Arabia, and Iran, hosting the architecture that will determine whether the world’s most important energy chokepoint reopens through negotiation or force. The last time a single country occupied this structural position, the result was the Nixon-Mao handshake that defined half a century of geopolitics. The flight is tomorrow. The deadline is April 6. And the molecules are still boiling off. Full analysis in The Last Molecule Standing, live on Substack now. - open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

I have spoken in detail about how the Prime Minister is compromised by Donald Trump. It is widely known that millions of Jeffrey Epstein-related files remain unpublished. Donald Trump has publicly humiliated the Prime Minister of India and claimed he could damage his career at any time. He believes this because he sees the BJP's financial links to Gautam Adani. There is an ongoing case against Gautam Adani in the United States, which raises serious questions not only about him but also about the Prime Minister. When I raised these issues in Parliament, the Prime Minister left without responding. The reality is that Narendra Modi is a compromised PM. Just as Donald Trump influences Narendra Modi, Narendra Modi, in turn, controls the Chief Minister of Keralam. As the Prime Minister is constrained by his financial and corruption-related links, the Chief Minister is similarly constrained. : LoP Shri @RahulGandhi 📍Adoor, Keralam
