I remember being so jealous of YouTubers with 7k subscribers 👀 For some reason it was 10x more impressive than 5k 🤔

@PatGW @LizRoweYT I just hit 10K and I can tell you that nothing changes, the target just becomes higher 🤣

@LizRoweYT This is awesome Liz! Just cracked that number myself and didn't pause to celebrate. But I am going to for sure. 10K is what I am itching to hit. Then the dopamine will kick in 😂

My current situation: 1. 33 videos published in 2023 2. Average 2K views per video of 2023, median 817 views (total views, not within 1 week but safe to say I’m not at 10K yet 😄) 3. 4.4K returning viewers in the last 28 days compared to 7.5K subscribers

Just set my YouTube goals for 2024 inspired by @Ed_FilmBooth 1. Publish 50 videos 2. Get 10K views per video within the 1st week 3. Get more return viewers per month than I have subscribers 4. Stop everything that doesn’t serve these goals What are your goals?

If you're doing an annual review (or if you want to start), try out these prompts. Instead of focusing on the external, these help you reflect on the internal. So you can identify limiting beliefs & behaviors, clarify what matters, and apply these insight to next year's goals.

@CoreyWilksPsyD 🤚🏻 Currently writing “What They Don’t Teach You in Engineering School” - a handbook for fresh engineers with all the knowledge I wish I had when I graduated and started working (and planning on interviewing other engineers to get more perspectives and stories)

@vidIQ I script word for word bc it speeds up filming and editing by a lot for me. To make sure it sounds natural, I practice the script out loud while writing & note down instructions for how to say something. If something comes out wrong, I just retake it.

Do you script your videos? If so, how do you establish a natural conversational tone while recording?

@strongiess And finally, try out a few affiliate programs and once you find one that matches your audience & sells well, go all in on that one instead of splitting your attention between a bunch of different ones

@strongiess • The money is in online courses, so the product I would promote is online courses • Always say something negative about the product along with the positives & state clearly who should not buy the product because it builds trusts
