My wife (non-technical) built a fully functional iOS/Android app in 6 weeks... and it's made $1.5k on the app store since launch in the first month! She's a stay at home mom with our 2 young children (3 and 1), and she wanted a way to write letters to our children to keep memories of their childhood (we kept using notes app and was all a mess). Thank you @amasad and @Replit for making this possible! Link if you want to try it: apps.apple.com/us/app/from-ma…

My son and I travelled from Canada to Nigeria about a week ago As we were praying as a family to leave the house and catch our flight, my husband pulled me close and started praying He said “Lord, as I won’t be going on this trip with my wife and my son, please send your Angel to be with them” We said Amen. As we sat down at the airport lounge in the first layover waiting for our next flight, an elderly white man came and sat beside us. Immediately my son started smiling at Him. This man told me to rest that He was here. He started playing with my son and running around the airport with him and I just sat down resting. When it was time to go I said thank you and we left When I got off that flight to enter the next connecting flight, this man was still on the next one with us He Carried my hand luggage all around the airport. This bad was really heavy He kept my boy super entertained because my son was obsessed with His pointy nose At some point he went and got food and snacks and fruit. He carried my boy all around. And the long layover time passed like it was nothing He was like our bodyguard, carry one help and nanny all in one. Before we boarded the last plane heading to Africa, He told us He was leaving and heading back to Europe. Before he left he looked at me and said “do you know my name?” I said “no sir” He said “my name is William” That’s my son’s name. All the while I never knew. I was so shocked I’m not sure exactly how we stumbled on a man who stood beside me almost my entire trip, helping me so much and making my journey a lot easier All I know is that my husband asked God to send us an Angel and God did. As you start this new week, remember that God answers prayer. In the big and small aspects of life, involve God The supernatural is real and very tangible for those who engage it God is still healing people God is still miraculously providing God is still sending Angels on assignment God is still answering prayers Blessings!

@magattew Exactly. The West should stop treating Africa like it desperately needs their help. This is patronizing nonsense. Frankly, my observation is that the average happiness in a village in Africa is higher than the average happiness in Beverly Hills!

The aid industry raises money by showing the world images of African children with flies in their eyes and swollen bellies.  That money is supposed to help us. But those images do something else too. They plant a belief.  One of my employees, Yahara, told me she grew up thinking Africans were inferior because every magazine showed people like her looking pathetic while the world "saved" them. Aid didn't just fail to fix poverty. It taught an entire generation of Africans to feel small.

Sometimes, choosing to stay professional when you really want to clear your mind sucks, but it has to be done

I recently had to fire a client. When we started, they promised high engagement as a bargaining chip to negotiate a discount, which I agreed. Another reason I agreed to work below my rate was because the project had potential, and I had space for it. But after working with the client for over two months, there was barely any engagements or noticeable progress. Just a lot of unnecessary stress. For context, only three tasks came in during our time together, but with a lot of back and forth because the client couldn’t decide what they wanted. I kept getting more contradicting feedback, shifting requirements, and poor communication, which was the worst part. In fact, the last payment request I sent sat unaccepted on Upwork for two whole weeks. And I didn’t get any update until Upwork auto-released it. That was the last straw for me. Because after two months of unclear project direction, I can’t add poor communication to the things I’m willing to tolerate. When I take on projects, I love to fully commit to them. I don’t see myself as just a freelancer but as a stakeholder in that project. So how do I commit to a process I don’t even have faith in? At some point you really just have to ask yourself: what exactly am I holding on to here? Because for me, the math wasn’t mathing. The rate itself was already low. When you now add low engagement and poor communication to the mix, it’s almost insulting. And no amount of “maybe it gets better” fixes a client who still can’t give you clear direction after 60+ days. So I ended it. The craziest part was that I had so much to say, but I chose to stay professional and avoid drama. 😆 As a freelancer, always remember that it’s okay to end a contract. Clients are not the only ones that have that privilege. Ending a contract is not failure. It’s a business decision. And it’s one of the perks you have as a freelancer. A lot of freelancers stay in bad contracts because they’re afraid of having the awkward conversation. Some are afraid it’ll look bad on their profile. But staying in a contract that pays you poorly, drains your energy, and goes nowhere isn’t loyalty. It’s just fear and poor business management. Your time has a cost. Every hour you spend managing a difficult, low-paying client is an hour you’re not spending finding one who pays you what you’re worth. Know when to walk away. Walk away clean. And don’t look back.

A Chinese developer built a free money printer. Literally named it MoneyPrinterTurbo. 13,000+ stars on GitHub. You type a topic or keyword. It generates the script, finds HD copyright-free footage, adds subtitles, background music, and voiceover - then outputs a finished short video. This is the exact pipeline TikTok Shop and YouTube faceless channel creators use to scale to $6,000-10,000/month. The difference: they paid for tools. This is free. > What's inside: Script generation via Claude, DeepSeek, Gemini, GPT, or any LLM you already have access to. Batch video generation - create multiple versions at once, pick the best one. 9:16 vertical for TikTok and Reels, 16:9 horizontal for YouTube. Voice synthesis with real-time preview. Custom subtitles - font, size, color, position, outline. Background music from built-in library or your own files. > Runs locally on your machine. Web UI and API both included. Docker supported. Google Colab supported if you don't want to install anything. No subscriptions. No watermarks. No usage limits. The repo is actively maintained - last commit was 44 minutes ago. github.com/harry0703/Mone…

Trump is pushing a peace deal Israel doesn't want, Iran hasn't confirmed, and nobody can price correctly. That's exactly where the edge is. Here's what's actually happening. Trump declared the deal "largely negotiated" - but Iran made zero public confirmation. > Netanyahu's office has "serious concern and disappointment". Israel is demanding full dismantlement of Iran's nuclear program and removal of all enriched uranium before anything gets signed. > The real negotiation isn't about peace. It's about the Strait of Hormuz. One Israeli official called it "a weapon no less effective than nuclear weapons." Iran knows this. The US knows this. Opening the Strait is Iran's leverage - and the price they're extracting for any agreement. > Three scenarios right now: Optimistic: deal signed in 1-3 days after political alignment. Hormuz opens partially. Oil risk drops. Base case: 1-2 weeks of further negotiation. Partial framework, not permanent peace. Breakdown: nuclear terms, sanctions, and Hormuz don't align. Talks collapse. // I will use @CrispPredict for trading // Permanent peace by May 31 is trading at 12 cents. By June 30 at 29 cents. Someone is wrong about the timeline. "You travelled abroad and you didn't come back with anything, even biscuit?" Excuse me,Did you give me money?😩 I met a family friend yesterday who knew that I travelled to Germany. The moment I saw him, my heart almost skipped a beat. Japa Queen - Ewoooo, good afternoon sir Family friend- Afternoon, you don come back? Aside: (If I never come back you go see me for here?) Japa Queen- Yes sir. I'm back Family friend- what did you bring for us? Japa Queen- nothing oo Family friend-You go Germany come back, you no bring anything. Nawa oo Japa Queen- Sir, you'll not understand. Here's why I said he won't understand ✳️Let's say a pack of chocolate in Germany is €8, that's fine until you convert. ✳️And as a typical Nigerian, my brain converts by default. Here's the mathematics €1= #1,893 €8= Y Y= 1,893 X 8 Y= 15,144 📍That means that chocolate is about #15,144. Make I chop chocolate of 15k? Abi make I buy chocolate of 15k for you? 😂 The message is that if you're going abroad; ➖You need to deal with this default conversion, if not you might starve yourself. Anything you want to get, you'd find yourself converting. ➖Make sure you're earning in a valuable currency. You can't be earning in Naira and be spending in Dollars. ➖Prepare, research jobs and sources of incomes abroad even before you go ➖And to you here, please don't be angry they didn't get something for you, things are not that easy and stop feeling entitled. If it's easy collect visa and go 🙏 P.S- In all honesty would you rather they give you the 15k or Chocolate? P.P.S- culturally do you think it's wrong not to bring something back for him? I got for my family though. I'm Divine CHUKWUEMEKA 💫 A Migration Researcher 👩‍🏫 The Japa Queen 👸

TAKE NOTE OF THIS The internet rewards visibility. Real life rewards value. Do not replace or substitute one for the other. As you are striving to gain visibility online, keep building credibility online & offline. This you do by building yourself to be a person of value.

If payment flexes still get to you, you may actually remain poor your entire life. You don't have to abandon what you've developed a system for, just cause some random X user posted $10k earnings from something you have absolutely no idea about. Stick to your own stuff. You can't benefit from everything! (Me to myself every day on this app)

YOU MAY NOT LIKE THIS, BUT IT IS THE TRUTH A lot of businesses don’t actually have identity. They only have logos, and they make designs here and there. There is a very big difference between having a logo and having an identity.

Having a logo is like a human being having a name. Having an identity is knowing: - your purpose, your "why", in clearly defined words. - and building a persona around that purpose. This includes building brand visuals, brand archetype, brand tone, brand voice, AND brand strategy
