@AsianAmericanUS No countries can beat Asian airlines bc no countries outside Asia see their airlines as serving an important role in welcoming foreigners. EVA & ANA for example both try to “welcome you to TW/JP” even while you’re sitting on the tarmac in America.

@bryancsk The only upsides I’ve experienced of switching to an iPhone are blue texts/iMessage and easier to use inside mainland China since Play Store/GApps are blocked there but not App Store & Apple Maps. Other than that, terrible choice.

I have never regretted a purchase as much as switching from an Android to an iPhone.

@growing_daniel Tbh nothing as “overseas Chinese” as becoming Christian once you’re in the West. Damn near every Chinese kid I knew in high school in Chicago converted and the Singaporeans are devout as hell. Literally only the SG crowd pushes me to say a prayer before we eat.

@denisewu Back to M&A: foreign incorporation in SG isn’t very hard, especially if you fly in and do KYC in person. Since SG is super flexible on M&A, it’s easy to bring assets from a mainland company to a SG entity without triggering anything. Ergo need to play it safe geopolitically.

@denisewu Everyone forgets, for reasons beyond me, that the renminbi is a currency grouping. It encompasses CNY and CNH. CNH is trading at 160bps discount vs the USD vs CNY and HK & SG both have free trade deals which let them take advantage of this.

Agree, Singapore has also changed from being “neutral” to another Chinese puppet city-state. Not an accident US put Singapore in tier 2 for AI diffusion category and they’re not happy right now with this cheap shot.

@krutika_rastogi @Appyg99 @brightlifespace Boundaries with parents are VERY important. 99% of the time, though, they merely look like telling your parents “no” when they insist on you doing something vs just giving an opinion. Super common examples are what car to buy, school choice for your children, etc.

@Appyg99 A lot of our NRI users @brightlifespace have shared similar experiences. Someone even said their western therapist asked them to draw boundaries with their parents :) Coaches who are rooted in western and eastern ideologies have been immensely successful with these folks!

Took my bestie (also a Desi girl) for some wine tasting tonight. After some “tasting” we got onto the topic of relationships. She said — these Western therapists have the tendency to look at an ideal outcome & say — You deserve better, leave him. But apparently they don’t tell you how to work with the cards you’ve been dealt without changing your husband. The Desi therapists apparently just straight up say — This is your fault. Deal with it 😂🤯
